Interesting & Fun Dover/Thyssenkrupp Traction Elevators at 17th Street Plaza in Denver, CO

Unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions, with the exception of one building that I have scheduled to premiere at a later date (which you'll see why I have it premiering on that day when it does), these are the last High Rise Office Skyscraper Elevators I was able to film and ride when I was in Denver.
Fortunately, they weren't bad ones at all, and I'm definitely very glad Sam showed me these as I initially didn't plan on coming here! This building opened in 1982 and these elevators were originally Dover, likely Traflomatic with Newer Traditional fixtures. As you can see, Thyssenkrupp modernized these with these VERY UNIQUE MAD Fixtures I've never seen before that light up in a "Toothpaste Green" color, and even though TK Modded these, many features of these elevators such as the Door Equipment, YUUUUUUUUGE Interlocks that say "DOVER" on them as well as the motors and generators all remain original (Which make a VERY EPIC, LOUD AND SEXY SOUND!), so despite the mod, these elevators were still a TON of fun and had a LOT of character and the Interlock (which is something I've NEVER seen before) as well as the Fixtures made these pretty unique!
I can't tell if the controllers are original or replaced though. The way these run and behave along with the indicator suggests that these are basically totally original Dover minus the fixtures, but the fact at least one of the elevators has a "Dover Buzz" which didn't exist at the time these were installed suggests otherwise. It could be possible the controllers were replaced on some but not all of the elevators, but I'd say that's pretty unlikely, and the chimes on the elevators I rode I've NEVER heard on a Dover before!
Either way, these definitely were AWESOME and VERY FUN Elevators, and I'd definitely recommend checking them out if you visit Denver! I do apologize for my camerawork not being the best in this video, but due to security and people walking all over the building watching us, I tried keeping my camera concealed.

Modernized in Circa 2010s. (Thyssenkrupp with Strange Unknown MAD Fixtures, New Call Stations and New Lanterns. Door Equipment, Cabs, Indicators (retrofitted into the new COPs) and Motors left as is, Controller may or may not be original.)
Lots of Dover still in those... I especially like the first one (midrise) with the door with the extra Dover clank! Unique for sure to have the combination but they run great.
2:05 I'm in love too with those motors hum (it's like listening to music). Especially on Otis elevonic 401s.

I'd love to meet up for sure. I'm holding off on doing any filming for now though due to how bad COVID has been as well as all of the political drama and violence that's been happening lately.

Interesting modernization! I almost thought this was an Otis modernization because those fixtures look a lot like Otis’s UNITEC fixtures.
I do not think there are any swear words in this video. I just checked the subtitles. Anyways, I like the mod but I would recommend not filming at that location since there are security guards and cameras watching on guests and trespassers.
Who cares about trespassing and security guards. They don't care if it's a weekday.
