@CharityEkezie it looks amazing! I just can't wrap my head around the fact that it's just 2$! Does it convert to that amount because of the conversion rate of the $? Or is it because the demand is higher and so it's okay to charge less? Or is it because of the economy? I have so many questions! Love from an Algerian living in Canada ❤❤
@@__maei 1. Its the exchange rate 2. It is hairstyle that can be done by almost 30%/40% of females in Nigeria. I said Nigeria because that's where she is from and that the one i am sure of.
Less than $15 will get you a 30’ inches knotless braid plus extensions here in Nigeria 😂. And yes they don’t use all those unnecessary wax and glues so it’ll last longer before you take it out.
Only 75-150? My girl pays 300 for hers without extensions and that's pretty cheap where I'm at in Maryland. If you want extensions it easily could go over 500. The places around here that only charge 150 are the spots you dont want to go to.
I tried getting my daughter's hair done, and they were saying "It will be $500 depending on the style" Like what? I would rather move back to Africa and get my kids hair done
@@23Butanedione?? 😂. What hairstyle do white people own?? Dutch braids, French braids sure… but I’m assuming you mean a regular straight wig. Having straight hair does not belong to white people, everyone else has it 🤥
as a African American girl I can relate, I love my corn rolls as well and they are my best hairstyle, I usually braid my own! African girls, African Americans girls, it doesn't matter we all have the same skin tone, hair texture, and styles!! we just live in different regions of locations. one love!🙏🏽❤❤❤
Still?! It's so neat and close, though! Perfect for work! (I'm chronically unemployed and white, so I just get occasional dispatches from the front lines about how shitty employers are still being about Black hair. Fuckers need to grow up. 😤)
My bestie when I was 4 years old had cornrows. I always wanted them and didn't understand why I couldn't. We moved away when I was 5 and I only realised she was black when I was about 20 years old. 😂
When I was younger, I used to cry when the hairstylist braided my hair because of how painful it is. Even now I'll still be in pain when doing them, but the pain is worth it every time!
I love twists, they are such a change if pace from my usual afro style. They are easier to handle and maintain in my opinion. So yeah my favourite protective style is twist.
my favourite hairstyle is probably small curls (twists? like a plait but with 2 pieces instead of three). looks like locs and stays neat for a long time. and when you take them out, there's a gorgeous curl that you can wear for some additional days. i also like the type of small section twists that you do with a fine toothed rat tail comb (not the plait with two pieces). looks gorgeous and is easy to dress up. also looks like locs. maybe my favourite hairstyle is locs lol (but im too chicken to commit to them)
Girl I've seen many videos of you with your hair in many different hairstyles it's always beautiful no matter how you wear it! But I believe you are a beautiful woman with a beautiful soul that shines through all your videos ❤
As a biracial American, I prefer rows to keep my hair clean. I work outdoors, so keeping my hair snug to my head prevents a lot of debris, pollen, etc. from getting in, lessening my need to wash or use any products. And the breeze on your scalp is so satisfying. My hair just stays overall healthier when braided. I've never worn a wig or weave, but I'm interested. 😊
I also love cornrows because I can't wear extensions in school or leave my hair loose so I've grown to prefer cornrows over extensions Love from a fellow Nigerian
Ooooo I love them on you! They look so low maintenance which I personally love when I do my own hair. I currently have a very short hairstyle but I’m growing it out because I miss being able to braid my hair.
My favourite has to be natural hair twists. I can style it anyway, wear a wig on it too, or put an Afro puff, or loosen it and turn it to twist outs. It’s super versatile.
It's annoying that I can't get them because they a4e so beautiful - but my hair is so slippery that it's not worth trying anymore. Under 1/2 inch and my hair is like "nope" and my extension is halfway out the next day. I had to get a whole seperate maniquinne head just too learn proper braiding of textured hair (beauty schools around here are... lacking in their textured hair classes. I don't want to not know how to do something or fuck up someone's hair because I didn't bother).
@@Saitaina I know it’s hard but you have to keep trying because if you go up, you won’t succeed try if you put grease or anything on it put a little bit
My favourite hairstyle is probably a single braid down the back, or a bun. My hair is wavy, and I have no clue how to take care of it, so it gets frizzy if I just comb it. Putting it up makes it easier to handle, if I'm doing more "active" things.
Scandinavian here with very slippery hair: I love having my right side buzzed to the scalp and almost collarbone length on the rest in green. My natural hair can't do braids or keep texture very well, so length control it is! And gosh I can see why cornrows are your go-to... They have volume and look amazing on you! You have a great hair dresser.
Bringing back painful memories of trying not to cry when someone who is not my mum is around, or doing my hair, and bawling my eyes out when it’s just her
When I was a kid my dad would do braids every morning and he was very proud of our hair. And when there was hairbugs outbreaks he wouldn't be scared by it because our hair was always tied up.
Ive never had braids, but i always felt like the separating bit would feel so good on your scalp. But i also feel like if one hair is to tight and pulls its all over.
I like the Dutch, French, Waterfall, and Fishtail braids when my hair is long. I have fine hair, but a lot of it and the braids help keep it out of my face.
You are so right on the not hurting at all, like in Côte d'Ivoire, the girls love to do it as a quick break between heavy hairstyles, cause it's so easy on the scalp😂😂 Like i fell asleep while they were doing it on my head once😂😂
That hair stylist is underselling herself because those cornrows look amazing 😭
I know right??? Love it. But she's actually charging what she should charge, most people even charge less for those, depending on the area you live in

I kept mine clean by using a bit of conditioning shampoo in the shower, rinse well, oil the parts, air dry. It's done 🤷🏾♀️
In my country TZ🇹🇿, the hairstyle is called "Twende kilioni" translates to let's go to the funeral, impliing that you can never go wrong with it.
Wow!! Thanks for sharing that
Man, I never understood what that meant. Asante kwa elimu!
In zanzibar we call it minyoosho.

I wish that this hairstyle was accepted as professional in America. It’s so hard to wear cornrows without being judged.

That looks so cool! I’m wondering what you mean by a “protective hairstyle”. Is it for wearing a wig, or for something else?
It's to protect our hair from breaking. As black people are hair is very sensitive to manipulation and can break or split if not protected
