    for those of us who are allergic to soya, you can do this with chick pea flour, lemon juice, replace nutritional yeast with dijon mustard, tapioca starch, heat in the saucepan. add a probiotic at the end for the tangy taste.

      @@dachsrottweiler welcome, it's one cup of chickpea flour one cup of water, mix well add seasoning, bring a cup of water to boil in a sause pan, add chickpea mix, stir well to stop it sticking, once it thickens either use straight away, or pour into a glass dish leave to cool put in the fridge, and it becomes solid and you can slice it like cheese.

      @@UltravioletHeather haven't tried on pizza, I guess you could use it straight away from the saucepan and put on pizza before you put it in the oven.

    Before my health journey, my favorites were basic nachos (chips, cheese, sour cream, hot sauce,) and chili cheese fries. These seem like they should be easy meals to convert, but the lack of creaminess has led to, either, goopy or dry, bland disappointment. If you could do a loaded fries or nacho video, with good cheese alternatives and no fake grocery store "meat," I would be forever grateful! Ty, and ty for all you do, as you are an inspiration and a ray of sunshine!

    Yes the salad with tomato, fresh basil and mozzarella is a Caprese salad. I think this would be a nice way to enjoy a vegan Caprese salad.

    Please can you make a New York style vegan cheesecake with strawberry topping. The recipe should not have coconut cream, since I want to avoid desserts high in saturated fat(>= 5g). Currently the base recipe is cream cheese, sour cream and heavy cream, fortunately a lot of products use coconut oil and coconut cream. I don't mind lactic acid, tofu, cashews. Thanks in advance 😊

    I cracked up laughing when a few months ago someone commented on your yt video or ig reel (i can't remember which) accusing you of not giving proper credit where you got your cheese recipe from
    I was like, she literally founded a vegan cheese company!!! Ami is literally the og vegan cheese maker in the uk !!!!
    I can't remember if it was a man or woman but I've decided this was an example of fansplaining. 😂. Fan enough to watch your recipe but entitled to think they know better than you what you know how to in the kitchen 😂
    It's interesting and lucky for is all that you're so passionate about vegan cheese seeing as how you've never had dairy cheese! Admittedly I'm vegan for health and ethical reasons but was on SAD most of my life, and cheese is flippin delicious. I don't miss it often and can live quite easily without it, but like twice a year I'm like aahh I miss cheese! That's where your recipes come in handy!!! Thank you for sharing 💖

    I made this, I have all the ingredients and you can use an ordinary domestic blender, because it’s fairly liquid to start off. I decided to form x2 blobs and froze them in cling film. I defrosted one slightly and it shredded/ grated beautifully. It’s so satisfying to use the grater! I used the shreds for a pita pizza. It didn’t have time to brown, because the pita would burn, but it was really nice!

    l made this today . l was thinking mine wouldn't turn out well but to my surprise it did turn out. and l enjoyed the taste . . on a rice cake with vegimte. now l am going to try it as a grilled cheese sandwich . thanks a lot.

      That's exactly what I was going to ask! Imagine all the casserole dishes it could be used in. Would be nice if it was cheddar tasting and not just colored to look like cheddar.

      Nutritional yeast, white miso, even ground mustard powder all can give you that "cheddar" flavor.

      I disliked too much nooch in the early days, till I saw another brand on special....tried it....wow it tasted better....then I tried a very highly rated brand from overseas & got a few bags of it shipped in to me in Australia & its bloody beautiful. Moral of my story: try a few different diff brands, cos not all nooch is made equal. Cheers! @@cyndij8312

      @@cyndij8312 I always add some yeast extract and soy sauce, plus a bit of sweetener, to my vegan cheddar for the sharp, slightly sweet, umami flavor that aged cheddar has.

      But with those recipes you do need a food dehydrater
      I was traveling and couldn't remember the names but looked it up.
      It's so hard to find oil free wraps for me so I soak up all the wraps recipes I can find.
      But, there is a huge amount of books with amazing recipes I just haven't had time to go through and fall in love with them all yet

    That looks amazing! I can’t wait to try this recipe. If you are wanting ideas for recipes to make, I would love some recipes for the ninja creami. I bought one after I moved my mom in with me a few weeks ago. She is an ice cream lover, but very overweight with dementia. I’m trying to get her eating healthier (quite the challenge!) by feeding her some of the wfpb recipes I eat. Could you show some more recipes for ice cream made with fruit flavors, or other kind of traditional ice cream flavors? I am struggling to find healthy recipes for the ninja creami. Thanks! Susan❤️

    Recently I made some vegan mozzarella cheese sauce (with cashews) & actually let it thicken in the Vitamix (it took about 2 minutes & was steaming). I was going to serve it over some cooked cauliflower, but then I just dumped the cauliflower into the Vitamix cuz it was so soft & just blended it in the sauce. It was good! I'll have to try your tofu version. Also, your hair looks so cute, Ami!

    Thank you for sharing this amazing recipe! No coconut oil is great as most vegan cheese recipes call for it. I can see making different flavor versions like truffle mozzarella, or adding jalapeños and red peppers to make a pepper jack version. So many options! I've used silken tofu and a small amount of vegan yogurt to make larger batches of vegan yogurt but never thought to make mozzarella. Genius idea, thanks again!

    take it from an Italian gal: the salad with tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and basil (topped with olive oil and balsamic vinegar) is called CAPRESE - now we can all enjoy it (minus the olive oil) in abundance. Thanks for sharing this amazing recipe!

    Thank you for the recipe. Love your videos - always make me smile as I'm watching them and make many of your recipes regularly. Brilliant idea of silken tofu for this mozarella. Only thing I'd do differently next time is far less lemon juice .... I used a squeezer rather than my hands and it gets every last drip out, and maybe I had a bigger lemon too, but it's super, super lemony and overpowered it for me. I usually add just a tsp or two to my cheese sauces so might try that next time. Also didn't have lactic acid so not sure if that would help balance things. Looking forward to trying it again with that tweak. Also I noticed you said 1/3 cup nooch in video but it's 1/4 in recipe ... I went with 1/3 because nooch is great. 😉

    Hi Amy, I am obsessed with your videos ! I make chickpea yogurt and I would like to have some recipes to USE that yogurt. It has a certain taste that I am not that fond of to eat it on its own. The recipe I use makes a lot of yogurt and I live alone. So I was wondering if you have some interesting recipes that use yogurt, either sweet or savory alike. I also adore your hair !!!     Ami, your contribution to the Vegan Health Bundle 2024 is amazing!!! All the CZcamsrs I watch are gushing over it and singing your praises. I can't wait to try some of the recipes myself. My biggest problem is which one to pick first. They all look so incredible! I also love watching your CZcams channel because I follow the starch solution as well, and you make everything look so easy. Because I'm not on instagram, I don't get to see the recipes you post there. Would I find them in your Meal Plans if I purchased them from your website? I'm confused as to what those are.     Thank you, Ami! I would love a good cheese sauce (for nachos, veggies, etc). I have yet to find one I love. Carrots and potatoes as a “cheese” sauce just don’t cut it for me!

    This looks awesome! I recently saw a recipe for a vegan hard, grateable parmesan cheese block but it's made of coconut oil which I avoid. If you need another idea, maybe give that a try?

    So looking forward to trying this. I just happened across your video, and you convinced me to order the bundle just for your cookbook. lol. Granted I will explore the others. Ordered some lactic acid for the cheese. The food in your cookbook looks amazing! I love Indian food, but haven't ventured into an Indian restaurant since going vegan 4 years ago.     Hi, will try this very soon. A recipe that needs 'to be worked on ' is chocolate mousse; don't like the avocado version and it needs to be non bitter and smooth.

    Love this! I'm always looking for plant-based cheeses as I have a family history of Cancer so need to avoid the estrogen and possible BLV in dairy. Thanks so much for sharing

    It was really great, but I used only half a lemon and it is still lemony. Next time I will use 1/4 of a lemon- our lemons in California are very sour.

    Made it today for quesadillas and it is absolutely delicious and tastes as good or better than cashew based versions. Thanks Ami! I'd love if you could figure out a simple wfpbno spanakopita. A whole Greek feast would be yummy but I specifically miss spanakopita with a delicious tzaziki.

    hey! Thank you SO MUCH for a recipe that's healthy and relatively low-calorie. One quick question: once cooled in the fridge, will it melt and get so stretchy again when warmed up in the oven? I am planning on making this in advance and then use it for vegan gnocchi alla sorrentina! Thx

    Careful with that salt if u want it to be healthy. Keep it a mg of sodium per kcal for people without blood pressure issues, and 3/4 of that fi those who do

    Yum! Going to have to make this.
    I avoid carrageenan. It is a neurotoxin.
