My daughter's father just passed away and she is only 20 years old. We laid him to rest yesterday but Christmas will not be the same without him. Though we are not married any longer the pain is deep. Listening to this song helps get me through. My daughter Shannon it will take much longer.
This is the first Christmas in 68 years that I have spent alone. Well not totally alone have my four legged friends and I have Baby Jesus. Thank you Lord.

Ive been alone since 2017 at all holidays, esp Christmas, which was my momma's and my fav season and it really blows! Since, my mom passed away oct 2017...but, listening to Carrie's Christmas music seems to help and remind me of all great memories with my momma! She was a pianist, organist, singer, wrote music, teacher...i surely miss her terribly! ❤

I don't care for this song so much. At least, I didn't until I heard this Chris McDonald arrangement, which I fell in love with. I sometimes listen to it repeatedly, several times. Something McDonald does in the cadence, with a dissonant bass note underneath what should be a standard dominant (if in the key of C, the dominant would be G). McDonald is a genius. People always see or hear the singer, but the arranger MADE this version. Cheers!
