  • • Friday Night, Saturday Morning was a television chat show with a revolving guest host. It ran on BBC2 from 28 September 1979 to 2 April 1982, broadcast live from the Greenwood Theatre. The programme was the idea of Iain Johnstone and Will Wyatt, who insisted on a changing presenter every fortnight. Another innovation was that the presenters chose the guests they were to interview. He is 21, she is 22 - they are both adult, successful, eloquent people.
Nowdays most people their age are still kids who can't put together a single sentence correctly and can't express their deep thoughts, because they simply don't have them. And I'm talking about my generation - I am 20.
Love to Toyah and RIP Steve - I love them both.

Amazing to think how young he was when he was running clubs. This was the time when we seemed to have really diverse music and creative people. Toyah Willcox and Steve Strange were such icons of their time.

I love the way Toyah says "He's only 21" when she was only a year older herself.

Thank you for the share, a very nice relatively early interview here, Steve showing us his open and free thinking attitude towards life and people. Wonderful.

He was a very handsome, stylish and intelligent man, yes. Steve Strange has always kept his personal life private as far as I know...
