- Today I take a closer look at the Saddleback Leather Company Slim BiFold RFID Wallet. This wallet is their Dark Coffee color. This may be the first product from Saddleback Leather that I think is a fail! It is slightly larger than my Small BiFold Wallet, and also gets bulkier that my old wallet due to the design. This will be the first Saddleback Leather Company product I actually return!

I think it's fair to say , obviously the wallet needs to be broken in and will flatten in time , I have the exact same wallet and color and it has gotten more supple and thinner as I used it, so your thoughts on a brand new wallet would be unfair to mention it failed

Everything I have bought from Saddleback Leather has been excellent
Pretty much all Saddleback wallets are advertised as having an RFID layer. I saw your previous unboxing of this and the Slim Card Wallet. Try this tip with your cash.... Fold each bill individually and stack them rather than folding them over each other like you did in this video. I think it reduces the bulk in the crease and makes it easier to get the desired bill out without taking them all out.
I have the Slim Bifold and Slim Card Wallet and can easily carry 7 or 8 bills in either wallet when folded this way.

I originally wrote quite a long comment criticizing your review technique, but after closer inspection, it appears you are comparing one Saddleback Leather product to another, all-be-it not new to new. Fair enough, but might I suggest you make that a bit more clear in either your title (which is a bit click-bait-ish), or actually verbalizing that in your introduction? As other comments have pointed out, a quality leather wallet takes sometimes many weeks of everyday use to break in, so it is possible your new wallet would perform just as well as your old given some time; we can only guess. I am a bit surprised you weren't willing to give that a try.
I am also a long-time customer of Saddleback Leather products. I too have often found that even though their products far outshine all others in quality of construction and materials, durability, general aesthetics, and price (aka, they really don't try to compete at all on that,) they sometimes do miss the mark on function. Still, did you get what you paid for? Even with occasional flaws in form, my resounding answer has always been yes. I actually carry the Large Bifold wallet. Love it, would buy it again, but curiously, as you have shown, after 6 years of constant everyday use, it looks like it can go another, well, forever honestly.

David, I appreciate your thoughtful response. I agree that Saddleback products get better with age. What I meant to portray in this video was that I preferred the slot style of my long time wallet over the individual card slot style of the one highlighted in the review. Thanks for watching!
