3:10 the romantic implications of this entire scene is crazy here; Sonic placing both of his hands onto Blaze’s, Blaze reaching out towards Sonic one last time as they went back to their respective worlds, and Blaze even saying they’ll meet again at the very end :) it’s something so sweet that I noticed when I was younger, but failed to put into proper words until I looked back on it again. Sonic Rush is a game I will always treasure fr🫡
Agree. I always cry at endings where the main character has to say goodbye to a new friend. Especially if said friend either ends up dying, is unable to see them ever again, or if forced away from them against their will in some way.

Yeah it's about as friendly as Sonic & Knuckles in Ares Island Zone, regardless if they saw themselves that way or if either is alloromantic, this moment, at the crossroads of two realities, is one of the most romantic things I've seen in any artwork, any medium.

Gotta be one of the best moments in the series, right up there with the endings to CD and Adventure 2. Glad we managed to get a really good low-poly mainline-ish Sonic game as it's an aesthetic these characters all look fantastic in.

And just because they're not letting their hands doesn't mean it's romantic and can also be friendly. But anyone with a bit of brain knows that they're not made for relations and the best we can have is Sonic and Amy (and since recent characterizations, that's possible).

Then Sonic appears and he whispers something into her ear Cream smiles and then her and Sonic look off into the sunset smiling together. THE END. No idea what Sonic told her, I'm gonna guess he mustve told Cream that when he said "see you again" Blaze said " yes, again". So Cream is happy and hopeful that they will meet again.
