When my son turned 5 we bought a Barney Pinata. All of the adults were enjoying this way more than the kids. :)
My SIL's sister worked at the studio that made "Barney" and "Wishbone" (Wishbone was actually pretty good). She invited my son and me to a special party for staff and family/friends where Barney appeared an put on a show for a much smaller audience than his live shows that were sold out back in the 90s. My son was 3, and HATED Barney so he wanted nothing to do with him. He was fascinated by the sound mixing board and the guy controlling sound and lights, though. That guy was so nice, he let my son flip some switches, much to his delight. My son told the sound/light guy that he thought Barney was "stupid", which cracked the man up. I think he agreed, but I'm sure the pay was good!

I've watched SNL since 1975 and I honestly think this is probably the strongest cast ever! Greatest depth of talent ever! Even the benchwarmers are excellent! (Chris is not a bench warmer btw)!
I was not a big Chris Redd fan; he was funny sometimes but I thought kinda one note. this interview literally had me in tears. His description of his rap career had me laughing. Nice job Chris.

The first time I saw Chris Redd on SNL, it was a "musical performance" skit they were doing. I thought he was a "musical guest", just "helping out" with this skit. It wasn't until a few weeks later (after seeing him, repeatedly) that I realized he's not a "musical guest", but an actual member of the cast. I'm not sure if it was his "musical talents" or his "acting ability" that caused me to think he was an actual "musician", but either way, I think he's a fairly "bad ass dude".

Gotta love Chris Redd.. he's been one of those solid cast members that, maybe don't create the legendary moments that the SUPERstars have, but he's consistently funny and does really great in the ensembles. They'll lose a good, natural comedian when he moves on. Looking forward to his special.
