When i was little, my mama took me to a pet store thinking i would like a puppy or kitty. I went straight for the chinchilla, that was VERY expensive, & said "i want a chinchilla!" 😂 With her eyes wide, (with sticker shock), she looked at me, shook her head giggling, & said "But of course you do!"😂🤷♀️

Omg one of my chinchillas is a little mastermind. So we have two dogs and both well go after the chinchillas, as well there are a bunch of places where wires are and only the chinchillas can get to, so we have to section the chinchillas off into a room or two when let them out of their cage. One of chinchillas, no matter how hard we try to keep them in, always escapes, we have resorted to having at least 2 body guards where the dogs are incase an escape happens. 🤦🤦🤦
Chinchillas might be the only rodent I’d actually consider having as a pet because they are one of if not the longes loving rodent comparable to a dog’s lifespan.
Just like a gerbil, their urine does not smell.

Complete waste of time...my dog has hiked the entire Appalachian trail with me, sailed tens of thousands of miles with me, saved my life 3 times and can be with me without a Ieash anywhere in any conditions. Sorry i need more than a food hole no matter how cute.
