  • Photographing products can be a challenge, and shooting glass can be even more difficult! In this video I run through my entire process for shooting this very reflective glass lotion bottle, and shed some light on a few tips and tricks that will hopefully make your life easier if you ever shoot something similar.

    Im a sucker for really smooth gradient lighting. But this definitely reinforces my need to start adding intentional hard gloss reflections in my shots. Great setup and great presentation, man! 👏

      Thanks! Yea I’m a sucker for soft lines and gradients, but they wanted that super glossy look for this bottle so I went hard in that direction (pun intended 😜)

    For starting to practice my shooting skills, can this setup/shooting be done using my Nikon D7000 and an alternative to CaptureOne software, thats free?

      Absolutely, the camera itself doesn’t really make a difference, and you don’t even need to use a tether program if you don’t have one. It’s just makes it easier to see when making small adjustments

      Yeah I understand what you mean, but when being a perfectionist there’s always the tendency to have it all under control, "this and that" have to be manipulated in a certain manner even if it’s not really needed 😂
