These songs bring back memories of High School and college
I love you Tom for being so respectful !!!
We must find this girl
I used to listen to this in high school... and they are still kickin the bucket! awesome
I play it in the car every time I go to Bremerton
Ill never forget crowd surfing for the first time during mxpx. Board this at snoqualmie washington 2000!
My first time was in Houston at a place called "Numbers" for Mxpx. The Hippos opened the show. I think it was 1998 or 1999. I was 16 or 17. Can't remember the year, but will never forget the time!
They're always just amazing live.
LoL....I got a weird déjà-vue feeling when the Jenna girl got on stage, then when the camera Focust on the crowd, i saw myself O_o!! Then realized it was on the Pouzza Fest, and i was on a two day bender : sss.
Thx for the vid, before seeing it, i didn't even knew i once saw MXPX.
Hahaha
I just read all these comments.. I grew up with listening to you guys and I can't believe what these people are saying.. you guys are sooo amazing!!! Love and hugs!!
still my all time favorite band and all throughout jr high and high school saw them many times and as long as they come to the closest major city I'll still continue to see them. In my opinion they were always so underrated and i think thats why i like them so much
the guitar pedals are so simple. love it
Is not the same without the actual chick magnet in the drums :P
Yeah...where's Yuri??
Where the fuck is Yuri
En estudio siguen siendo una de las mejores bandas Pop Punk!
Sound so clear.. Good job
brings back so many memories
Mike will always be one of my idols
This hairstyle.
Kinda of looks like Shane from the walking dead xD
he knows just what to do when it comes to the girls.. glad that he keeps his scat and takes us back to school so to speak with his"Batata Batata Batata dude dude"
sigh. I miss these days listening to bands that sounded as good live as they do on their albums. Now it's all about studio magic.
I like how the drummer tried doing the baddum tst after the drop it like it's hot joke lmaooo.
This is a different mxpx than what I grew up with.
How so? What is different?
Yeah, it's live.
They, as many, used the Tooth & Nail label to get crazy exposure in a market that they would’ve never reached for PK’s like me that could only buy albums from Christian Bookstores. Those that saw them outside of Cornerstone and on tour with other T&N bands will never get it.
How long is the hang out in bremerton and getting a beer bought offer good for?
hahahaha
Thanks for the upload rawcut!
20 years later......... jeez.
I was shocked to read 20 years then I realized the comment was 10 years ago.😮
\o/ save the Punk Rock, From Brazil!!!
Kick ass bassline
Harley rockin' those drums!
He still plays shows around the Seattle area once and awhile and I believe that he still plays drums for any of the new albums, he just doesn't tour. He now mostly works at the submarine base.
Yuri?????
Why does he work as a submarine base??
From Australia and find myself googling Bremerton and wondering where they used to skate
oh, oh, oh, i almost still know this.. damn... almost.. it does fuckin count!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Protect her protect her protect her protect her doo doooooo
yuri??? donde esta?
What happened to Yuri?
I wonder if they've ever performed the Scooby-Doo theme song live on stage? If so, hopefully somebody recorded it.
I've seen them over 60 times and most in the early 2000s when the movie came out. I never heard them play it.
chanpions corasones .
if this was mixed different it might not sound completely zapped of energy. its so tired sounding. go watch the video "MXPX - It came from Bremerton" vid here on youtube if you want to hear some energy.
Bass solo was dope
I'm jealous. At my concert, we didn't get to go on stage like that.
i live by btown, wheres my beer?
They still together. This is not MxPx, I'm not sure if it's the MxPx All Stars or whatever... but trust me, the reason they sound different isn't the 4 piece thing. It's Mikes Voice, and the fact that he's singing it different and I think possibly in a Lower Key. I've seen them do it before.
They are all older and have families, so seeing the actual Band is harder than ever before. Many Bands are doing it. Either way, he's singing it like crap here. And no Drummer is like Yuri!
Where is the next show?
han ocurrido muchos cambios en 20 años de banda...
chick magnet !
what happen whit the old drummer???
mxpx was always great with the crowd, glad to see they are still doing it! but where the heck is yuri?
Hanging with his family back in Bremerton, he doesn't really tour any more.
Matt Lambert true, he still will play locally tho
So....Shane was in a punk band before the zombie apocalypse
who are you referring to?
@@morghan_with_an_h TWD
Where in slowdown
I never heard mike swear.
He is a super nice dude
This isn't the mxpx I grew up with.
That's what happens when musicians become successful and need to put little effort to continue their career. Money is the major factor here.
This is absolutly the same Mike. He was always a nice guy, a little rough but a grounded good guy.
how so?
@@Realigigi This is a bit harsh. They've gotten older. But none of them are making oodles of cash doing this. To my understanding, Mike is the only one doing music full-time. The others hold down other jobs and tour on occasion.
What do you want, an apology from them lol
Where is Yuri????
Hanging with his family back in Bremerton, he doesn't really tour any more.
01:33 and then he died
Va Gina i am from Brazil, Go Gina
Va Gina
Va Gina
Brasil porra
what happened to Arie?
This seems so watered-down and plodding. I hope it's either due to production or the fact that's a video of a live performance; which never lives-up
where is Yuri?
where's yuri??
Hanging with his family back in Bremerton, he doesn't really tour any more.
BOOO!!!
Get down with your bad self Gina!!
Where's MxPx? I see Mike, but who are these other guys?
Tom's playing the Les Paul, idk who the other guys are.
@@shandi6246 guy on the right is Jack Parker
@@shandi6246 and I think the other guy is Harley Trotland. He played with Mike in the Tumbledowns.
Where is Yuri?
@@bio-jesus6967 I think at some point Yuri quit the band but came back later
Hi everyone here in the MXPX video. We are band La Obra de Marte. We are fans of MXPX as well. We are from Puerto Rico. We play music influenced by this kind of punk plus another kind of musics, if you would like to take a listen to us you can go to our channel. and take a listen. We hope you like it. La Obra de Marte Incertidumbre (Single 2013)
where is Yuri what the fuck!
Hanging with his family back in Bremerton, he doesn't really tour any more.
Thanks I was wondering what was going on I got worried
Yeah, he's doing fine! Tom and Yuri don't really tour any more (although Tom was at Pouzza last year...obviously) It's still very much in Mike's blood though!
cool thanks bro just hate to see bands split up, glad to know their just taking some time off and there are no grudges ...thanks again
Ramon Jesse Figueroa Yeah, well they kinda split up but no hard feelings that I know of, it's still in Mike Herrera's bones to carry on the legacy that is MXPX, it may not be the same, but it's better than nothing, in my opinion. Cheers!
I wish the original lineup was still together. They sound too different as a 4 piece
Brutus said he will gladly accept a beer one day.
I thought they were a trio band?????
Two things:
Thank you Tom for being such a class act and cluing her in on the verge of a wardrobe malfunction
And...
Where was Yuri? And who was this Not-Yuri?
He retired.
I didn’t notice the almost nip slip……good on him for being a gentleman
Gina had a lot of fun
oh boy. I love mxpx, but.... they should not be rocking anymore, it almost hurt to watch that. I will be happy living on my memories of them playing at the chameleon with no motive. Why no Yuri? Arhur Karma?
shut up you twat.
Here Mike looks like a Latin version of Prince.
no Yuri????
I see me on the side stage. hahah.
Where is Yuri!!??
He retired for awhile in 2012 and came back in 2015.
Ya no tocan con la misma pasión que antes :/
Living in a fucking shadow
Much prefer them as a power trio.
wow. This felt more like a cover than the real deal. Good for Mike to keep it up, but its not the same as when it came out. :/
That gina girl looks like the chick from the henry rollins vs hipsters video
Mike's voice at this lower pitch just doesn't sound right
Same key actually. Just live vocals vs. recording. czcams.com/video/HQk2QeqM-jI/video.html
that bass tone lol
Right? Just dead
este no es el mxpx q yo conozco...
Since when did MXPX turn to a 4 piece band?!?!?
Anyone think Mike can be Chester Bennington's brother? His face reminds me a bit of him
Mike seems weird here, not the swearing I could care less I didn’t even notice when he said it, but i just saw them like 4 months ago and he was way more exited there then here
Jesus is Lord people! Mike can play what he wants, and he's not old imho. I'd like to hear more balls for Christ, but that's just me I guess. Get this, Nobody Special is back and the geriatric crew is gonna show you what righteous punk rawk sounds like!
uhmmm.... did you forget to take your meds??
THEY let him solo and didn't off the bullshit?????????????????????????
What was an amazing show, Mike stepped on my girlfriend like 4 times lol.
You can see me, I'm a blonde kid with a girl with purple-ish/red-ish hair in front of Mike the whole time, we between a bald guy and a very tall/long haird dude!
#shinfo
Wait, who the fuck is that on drums? O_O Doesn't look like Yuri.
Gina almost lost a shirt... damn Gina.
A little to poppy for me I'm an old school guy Black flag and Minor Threat
These guys are supposed to be a Christian band?
Well...They were on a semi-christian label (tooth and nail) but no, I never really considered them a "christian band" I think there were a lot of tooth and nail bands that were not really christian.
And who knows, maybe they were at one point and walked away.
+Dylan Pierce Mike is now a confessed agnostic and said they were Christians back in the day. he also said that Tooth and Nail didn't really care if you were a "Christian band" per say. just if you had maybe one Christian in the band they would sign you.
Never heard, Christian or not they still rock! Thrice is also but I think Dustin sticks more true lol, check them out too. Good ole clean punkrawk for days 💪
@@dylantp
I'm a little late here but tooth and nail was originally comprised solely of Christian bands. MxPx being the most popular. I saw them live the first few times they went on multi-state tours. They played in churches each time. Read all of the lyrics from their first album, Pokinatcha Punx. After that you'll know for sure they began as a Christian band. Though now I believe Mike Herrera claims to be an atheist.
Seen them about 5 times....they use to be good when I was younger...not so much now..plus Yuri is gone. Had a bunch of their cd's...Couldn't agree with "Daniel Vanden Brink " more Mike is well...not so great. Not sure if he will see these post..but if I could ask Mike something it would be "Why?"
+Shaun Davis Dude, I have seen them a bunch of times. At least 5 (but probably most) they wre always really good, and super cool to hang out with.
+Shaun Davis Yeah, maybe a little bit. Seems like age could possibly be a contributing factor. Mike just doesn't seem to be super thrilled to be there.
+Shaun Davis I mean he still looks good and sounds good, but there is a definite lack of enthusiasm, and energy.
Pero hasta Left Coast Punk todavía tenían buenos conciertos, luego de Plans Within Plans todos los videos que les he visto en vivo son bien aburridos.
Ojalá se levanten de las cenizas como el fenix en un futuro cercano.
it's funny to see these guys all tattooed up and singing pop punk music. also...where is yuri?
This to you is punk music? You really have NEVER heard punk music have you?
xleastarx that was the joke. i also said POP punk. totally different than punk music. also did you see my youtube name :-)
True my apologies...
I'm not really too sure about faith myself these days but I do know one thing is for sure. Mxpx has never been the type of band to talk like Mike just did. It just doesn't fit with their music at all. I could care less what he does with his life honestly. I just think it comes off lame trying to pander to a crowd. Maybe thats how he always felt about christians...lol. Who knows, but he sure did take their money!
That's exactly what I was thinking. I grew up in high school listening to MxPx, and I always thought they were a "nice little Christian band." LOL I guess I was just pathetically naive all these years. Now that I see this vid, it's like the light bulb came on and I'm like, "Of COURSE he talks like that. He's in a C-list punk band from the 90's that still tours around and sings about being a chick magnet and whatnot." It's like I couldn't see what was right in front of my face for the last 20 years haha. It's kind of sad, really.
Add the fact that he no longer has the others in the band supporting him live.
Jeff Bays tom is still with him . duh!!
At this show he was with him but he is not with him regularly. Mike uses a group of dudes called the "mxpx allstars".
oh! that's weird.
I didn’t know John Bernthal fronted a band.
the next social distortion
So much for the Christian he used to be. Breaks my heart
I hope to return to their Christian roots MxPx!
Mike Herrera openly admits that he doesn't align himself with any particular religion, but he is still very spiritual.
Because we know that Christians don't swear or have orgasms. lol.
we all grow out of this magical thinking... eventually.
I know I did.... either that or god decided to abandon me. lol
them's just jokes...
hahaha
OH MY GOODNESS! I THOUGHT CHRISTIANS DIDN'T EVER CUSS! Calm down, people.
haha...i think this was one of the places I began to realize Mike wasn't a Christian anymore
Awesome band, but wow, cursing and orgasms. I never would've thought.
surprised as well...really confused about the message change
Mike sounds bored. And that was a pretty gay stage dive alright.
You're 40 yrs old mike, give it up already
he appears to still have it!!!
and I am 40...ouch bro!
*****
he's 38, but you're close. Jerry Only is 59, should he give up The Misfits? If you think he's too old, go listen to Katy Perry, that music is more fitting for you.
why did you respond? you do the same. all will be fine.
You're a fucking idiot.
Yes, Jerry absolutely should.
