I can't blame Clint to want his son to prove himself for a role instead of being mollycoddled into a project just because his 'daddy' is Clint freakin' Eastwood.
Yeah,,,other then it's not true he just tells that story so folks think he earns it.
Scott Eastwood personifies everything wrong with the planet. He lives a life of undeserved privilege of yachting and supercars but donates 0.1% of his undeserved fortune to charity to hide the fact that he is a self-indulgent loser with a famous dad.

Scott is a different type of nepotism baby: Clint didn’t want to give Scott his last name out of not having to be nepotism kid. Scott had to beg him to let him use his last name because he wasn’t having luck finding a job.
Clint told him he wasn’t going to get him jobs that he had to work for it like he did. His dad didn’t give him anything but his last name in the industry.
Sometimes it’s not enough in Hollywood based on the last name you have to have your parent(s) really hook you up and make calls for you.
