    Friction factor (f) for laminar and turbulent (smooth pipe) function of Re.no. but in case of turbulent (rough pipes) is function of R/k(i.e relative smoothness) and not function of Re.No.

    I got confused with the smooth pipe the exponent used in Darcy friction factor in the denominator is different from the Fanning coefficient of friction.
