Ever since The Color Before the Sun, they have given me tracks on every album that affect how I am as a dad. This is beauty.
I know what ya mean. When I heard “Cut the cord” All I wanted to do was leave work, go home and hold my boy
My son is due in September and it's like he's writing about exactly what I'm going thru
This sounds like something that could of been on the color before the sun album
Gayyy

“take my burning hand, follow me into the fires of the sun” is such a wonderful line, especially wrapped in that unbelievably beautiful melody
Hearing that lyric live I can't even begin to describe how I felt
You know how you finally find a band where you’re happy to hear all their music? I found it.
Welcome to the Fence!
Man I'm so glad Claudio writes how he feels into his music you can just tell how happy he is to have a family. especially in this album
Umm, is he? Spider’s lack of a presence worries me.
He really is an incredible song writer. It's like he never runs out of ideas or melodies. I'm happy I'm alive to witness his genius.
@@moonmoon2479 Unheavenly Creatures was a letter to his wife. Windows of the Waking Mind is for his kiddo.
@@MxDae story wise, spider not being here at all means she might be dead, that may not be happy.
@@moonmoon2479 Spider shows up in the other music videos, though.
I feel like Im watching a movie when I listen to this album. The artwork on these tracks really help paint a picture of the story and works so well paired with the music.
You know that the story has been made into comic books and chapter books right? And that the albums tell a story a very epic story .
Claudio did a side project called prize fighter inferno also that tells other bits of the story but from coheed and cambria's "brother" inferno perspective and what he was going through. But the sound was something else strange at first because I never heard anything like that but when you listen to the words the story they tell and the music it is really goodm
Yeah Ive always known that and have dived into the storytelling outside the music. This album in particular just felt very cinematic to me. Storytelling feels very cohesive and easy to follow.
@@deliriumsilver3471 I see what you did there...
The live performance looks and sounds the same this tour! So good
Atlas will have such sweet songs from you to keep him company for the rest of his life.
Such thoughtful messages left by a parent.
I love these last three albums very much cause of that.
I just get full body shivers with the switch and pick up of the instrumentals. This album is art.
"They fear what they don't know and they be afraid of you for sure" What a great line. This album is shaping up to be a worthy successor to Vaxis I. Definitely getting it after work today.
Fo shoooooooo
@@IIESPD00DII I have tickets to both the Boston show on July 29th & the Forest Hills NY show on the 30th. I live in CT so I figured I'd go to both lol. Been counting the days, can't wait.
That line hits like a freight train.
@@moonmoon2479 No doubt. Can't wait to hear it live.
Any body else really like that Djent style Josh threw in there at 1:24-1:31. His drumming on this track is phenomenal.
I feel like he really came alive on the album as a whole. There is a ton of flash and technique without being intrusive. I've always loved his style, but it really shines in this album.
I'm getting some real Police vibes here. The opening riff sounds like "Every Breath You Take." I think Claudio was on an 80s bender with this album (and I'm loving it).
oh yeah the 80's influences are REAL in this album
Intro sounds like “Titanium” by Sia and David Guerra. Then again that also sounds like the police so who knows 🤷
@@joeloguirato7012 I'll have to give them a listen. It's nice to find how musicians build on each other. "The Pretender" by Foo Fighters sounds like "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zepplin which sounds like "Taurus" by Spirit.
He said bad man was inspired by being high and mj he was going for that vibe all the way
From second stage turbine blade to this, phenomenal throughout every song
Comparing this garbage to SSTB is blasphemy. Not a single good song on this album
@@chucktaylor6939 Stop living in the past and open your mind. This is a great album. SSTB was 20 years ago.
It won't matter if you're perfect my son. Oh, they fear what they're never destined to be. They hunt those whose hearts shine like the sun. Because you're my blood. Never give up, never stop trying to strive above. You're always going to be my light and love. Grow strong with their fear become the one.... I will always be your Mother TJ ever waiting ever yours..
I thought this album was wack when I skipped though each song but I started from the beginning today and here I am cryin 😭
dude I did too, I didn't think it was wack, but was a little disappointed in the whole album, and now i can't stop listening to it! great album once again Coheed!
same
I thought the same thing. Was a huge fan of their earlier albums.....but then I saw them live last week. Now I am re listening to this and all the other albums with new ears. Feel like they are playing right here with me. I will never forget that show.
Verse]
Is there anyone in there?
Desired or left with all despair
It feels so hard to need
A soul the world may never see
[Chorus]
No, it won't matter to us if you wake up, my love
If you take my burning hand, follow me into the fires of the sun
Oh, they fear what they don't know and they'll be afraid of you, for sure
Cause you're my blood, you're my blood
[Verse]
Your eyes swim beneath
The uncertain and whats normally perceived
Do you know that I'm here?
It's true, the silent bores of a time before
[Chorus]
Oh, it won't matter to us if you wake up, my love
If you take my burning hand, follow me into the fires of the sun
Oh, they fear what they don't know and they'll be afraid of you, for sure
Cause you're my blood, cause you're my blood
[Chorus]
Oh, it won't matter to us if you wake up, my love
If you take my burning hand, follow me into the fire
Oh, they fear what they don't know and they'll be afraid of you, for sure
Cause you're my blood, my blood
Oh, boy, you're my blood
They should pin this
“Or left to be repaired”*. Not with all despair
I couldn't be more excited to take my baby girl to this! I can only hope they play this song!
Was at the show at fiddlers green yesterday and this was such an emotional song live. It's so good here on CZcams but to see this song live is beyond words. I had a great time yesterday and love the boys even more. Happy 20th anniversary coheed and Cambria!
Fuck fuck fuck I missed it. I’m in Littleton and just today looked at their tour schedule. Sad 😢
@@moonbot7613 oh no! I'm so sorry 😔
Ever since claudio's son was born he's given us such beautiful family music
Josh Eppard once again absolutely slays the whole album 🤘 UC was amazing on drums as well but this album just has that feel good feeling to it. Love the new sound or w.e and new direction
Brilliant
The more I listen to this song the more I fall in love with it. It's far from my favourite on the album but it's also far from a bad song. Such a beautiful story and meaning, and such beautiful lyrics.
phenomenal as always Coheed ❤️
They just keep getting better. Amazing!
This is classic coheed.
This gives the chills so hard.
Damnnn. I like the album so muchhhhh
Purely a Masterpiece
What an absolutely intriguing song.
Such interesting chord progressions in this song. I dig it
Damn it boys...you always put that track out that makes me cry...well, here it is...
Probably my favorite track on the new album. "They fear what they don't know and they'll be afraid of you for sure." Such a great line. I've been listening to this album pretty much exclusively the past couple weeks and am pretty sure it'll go down as one of my favorite Coheed albums.
Goddamnit!! Every album.tops itself and from Amory Wars, through Black Sundays risimg .. To the Willimg End .. who knew the End of all things would be so insanely gogeous ❤❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 Burn Bright! 😁😁😻😼💯🎉
This song is my
Jam rn! Can’t wait to see it live next month!
Sick
This is my absolute fave off this album. So emotional for me. Most excellent writing and most importantly not afraid to go there in this climate. Big to C and C for being as deep as the ocean in world that barely scratches the surface. I just wanted it to go on forever.
My favourite on the new album. I hope it's played when I see them in October ❤️
They didn't play it in Pittsburgh:(
OH BOY COHEED...YOUR MY BLOOD
claudio is good at those intimate songs like wake up and this
Yeesss! Oh my gosh.
The drumming @1:20-1:29 is nice.
GAH another perfect banger so damn excited for this album. You gods can do no wrong. One day we will collab somehow hahaha
I love the direction the band went with this album! It's still very much coheed yet different!
This is not coheed at all. Compare this to Delirium Trigger and get back to me
@@chucktaylor6939 everyone is entitled to their opinion friend, so to each their own. However it does sound like coheed to me! Also incredible coheed at that!
i feel this album is the closest we can get to the feeling of "in keeping secrets"
I love your son Atlas 🤩
First! :)
CANT WAIT FOR THIS ALBUM!!
This sounds like Coheed featuring AFI
As a parent...damn.
Follow me into the fires of the sun! 🌞
I love that this album is about parenting and marriage. Haha not that the other ones weren’t :)
I love this song. They need to do an acoustic version of this!
When are you going to have a concert in Asia? 😭
Second chorus …. Damn
He doesn't know if his son can even hear him, but he wants to tell his son he loves him 😭
Coheed not playing this at the show was SO upsetting to me. They walked off of the stage and I said to my wife “they didn’t play blood!!?’” And everyone cleared out as I stood there. The show was over before I could even understand. Damn shame
I feel like this album is what Coheed wanted to be on their first albums, just now they are all much wiser and have such a cohesive unit
I also like cat kid and dogman books
Is this album the conclusion of armoury wars or whate ever?
I love it. Just wish the drums were different during the verses. More of a bop instead of the simple stuff.
Anyone else thinks the intro of this song sounds a bit like The Police?
What does he mean by "it won't matter to us if you wake up"?
It means he’s ok with abortion.
As far as I understand it (someone correct me if I'm wrong!) But Spider and Creature's baby was born sleeping and has been all his life, and I think they're searching for a cure and also running away because he might have a special magic/psychic link that people want to exploit. So while his parents do want him to wake up and get better, they're also loving and accepting that 'better' is something they're imposing on him based on thier own hopes, and that they'll still love him if he stays like this, asleep forever, if that is what he's supposed to be. They'll always be there to love and look after him, even when they get no response from him.
@@LeaPrufrock thats my understanding of it too. to go further, while he's sleeping he has visions of the universe and thus has a different/enhanced understanding of how the universe works. The song 'a window of the waking mind' explains it fairly well - "My perception in question as I leave the infinite for the present", describes his point of view as he finally wakes up. "Here's a simple story and I hope I tell it well; Of a boy locked in a place, his mind the very cell; Imprisoned with his wild visions of every time in space; There's no one in this world quite like him."
@@davidgrabkowitz2785 @LeaPrufrock Thanks! I don't really know any of the lore, I just love the music.
Titanium?
I feel like this album is inspired by Starset
The way I now your son is because of my mom
This must be the DLC to the song "Atlas" 😴
What is this band?? What happened to coheed??
They grew up.
The only good song on the new album. The album is way too pop.
Beautiful song! Children are beautiful miracles and abortion SUCKS. Don't abort, NEVER.
@Vaxis-31 Killing babies is not an acceptable choice, dude. As human beings, we need to protect all human lives, including women or men before the
birth.
@Vaxis-31 I support the choice of the babies...ops! We need to protect them, because they can't defende themselves. Good night.
It's unfortunate, but I feel Coheed lost a lot of their uniqueness in the past few albums. Obviously, everyone has their own opinions, but most these songs sound the same.. and mainstream. Meh, at least I have second stage, iksos, apollo and the aftermans.
I disagree! I think that this album feels super fresh and original, but still very nostalgic. I love this newer take Coheed is taking, and this album is one of my personal favorites. But you're entitled to your own opinion of course!
@@applewithbeak2411 Yeah, there's a point of contention between a multitude of their albums. Some love ones I don't care for and the same can be said for the opposite. But, yes. I'm glad you're enjoying the album. Cheers!
@@ssjonupants Hell yeah, Cheers!
Glory to Russia!
meh
I really didnt like this track for some reason, the chorus felt so cringe to me idk why it just didnt resonate with me, but the rest of the album was incredible.
The issues of being broke: not being able to snatch up the next Vaxis book. My Heavenly Creatures copy is sitting all by its lonesome. 🥲
