My baby's 5 weeks now. Her 'preferred' witching hour is 10pm to 1am and preferred comfort is cluster feeding. I'm interested on how she'll transition to week 6 early sleep. She's a precious baby girl but she kinda scares me at night. 😅
My baby is 6 weeks & was napping in the living room bassinet just fine in the day and about 4/5 days ago won’t sleep without being held. Nighttime sleep hasn’t changed, he’s sleeping 4/5 hour stretches. He’s getting very short naps (under 45) since waking as soon as I move or try to lay him down. I’ve been laying him down feet first and move very slowly. What can I do?
How do you distinguish 'bedtime' from the regular nap routine? My baby is 6 weeks old (7 weeks from calculated due date). We have been putting her to bed at 9pm, but how do we know if she is ready to be put down earlier?

It IS so hard to accomplish that at this age! You can always put your LO down awake so that they can begin to learn to self soothe--without crying it out of course!
I am experiencing the same challenge with my little one. Before 6 weeks she slept without any issues during the day. That has changed since she turned 6 weeks. She is fussy, pulling her hair, rubbing her eyes and crying, once we put her to lie down. Upside though....she is now sleeping well at nights. Hope she continues to sleep during the night and this is not a short phase
Bedtime can be whatever works best for your schedule, but you may notice that your little one naturally gravitates toward a certain time frame in which they get cranky and tired and seem to NEED to go down for the night!
@@mamanatural Lately we’ve bee having a great schedule. Our day begins at 6am and she feeds every 3 hours. 6am,9am,12pm,3pm,6pm and then at 9pm. She can tend to cluster feed between 7-9 pm after her 6pm feed. How will I know of her bedtime being sooner? The last three or four nights she has been sleeping from 10 to 6 AM sometimes between three and five am she chirps a little bit than once I put the pacifier in her mouth she’s fine and can sleep till 6. So we are finally getting those long stretches at night. I’m just wondering well the 9 o’clock feed disappear? And her 6 PM feed be the last feeding?

Nighttime is TOUGH when your LO is so awake!! Hang in there-you WILL find your groove and she will sleep, I promise!

Don’t listen to your family, that’s an old way of thinking. They won’t get “spoilt” by being held. Baby’s like to be with mama, it won’t last forever!

Same here mama, you’re not alone. My baby stay better during the day in her bassinet. At night is another story
As soon as you said babies start consolidating poops my 6 week old son started pooping 😂

What if they're a collic baby? >.< Although she does nap more, but less length of time.

Very early! Usually in the first few weeks!
Sleeping on the stomach though? Not sure about the USA but that’s discouraged in france.
At 6 weeks the babe is still the size of a blueberry (or smaller) and the uterus is still contained in the pelvis so stomach sleeping is still safe!
When does my baby start to like me as a Dad? thought it was 6 weeks but she still cries when i hold her :(

My baby’s been going to bed at 9 every night
9 pm is a perfect bedtime for many babes!
