I’ve heard this has been an issue with her several times. There’s nothing wrong with hiring someone to mix your songs and you do hype on the stage and do a show. In fact, people LOVE THAT.
This isn't a DJ set, it is playing tracks and blaming her errors on "technical difficulties" . And if fans think this was "incredible", it says a lot about those fans who you can obviously feed any kind of garbage as long as it has some famous name attached to it. Same goes for your Mariah Carey reference.
Grimes is good at taking other people's great music adding a bad bit to it and publicizing it alot through her relationships and edgy waffling about politics and fairy mom dancing. Really a talent
Where are the talented bands playing actual instruments?? This is what Coachella has become? Social Media is killing music. People will listen to any trash music and like it. This is sad. RIP good music.
It would have all been fine if she just didn't have to use the synch button. If you can't play without a synch button, you have zero talent. I've been DJ'ing for 30 years and I have never once pushed that button on any rig I've ever played on.
I use the synch button! You just have to take a LOT of time ahead of time to build all of your cue points and tell the program how fast each section is and where all the bars and beats are, and you have to know the actual bpm of the song and every change it makes. It’s super tedious but you can jump between parts of a song faster than vinyl…. When you actually set it up. Otherwise Synch will F that shit up so fast. You gotta know how to transition back to the normal tempo fast. But yeah. I usually use sync to when I need to quickly switch a song into a deck and need it to lock into the first cue point asap because the software won’t load into it and I have a very quick transition to do.

The set was incredible. You can tell she's super embarrassed.
Yes, this part was bad but her fans will still like her. She usually plays with a small DJ set, this was too big for her.
Does anyone remember when Mariah Carey just wouldn't sing because her audio was faulty?
She just stood there saying "I can't hear anything" through out her entire performance.
It didn't break her, I hope Grimes bounces back from this one as well, we fans love her.
HAHAHAHAHA 😂 Wow I have never heard a more brainrotted take lmao. It was awful girly you just need to accept she is a terrible DJ.
She shouldn't be djing
I’ve heard this has been an issue with her several times.
There’s nothing wrong with hiring someone to mix your songs and you do hype on the stage and do a show.
In fact, people LOVE THAT.
cope
This isn't a DJ set, it is playing tracks and blaming her errors on "technical difficulties"
. And if fans think this was "incredible", it says a lot about those fans who you can obviously feed any kind of garbage as long as it has some famous name attached to it.
Same goes for your Mariah Carey reference.
She's ultra creative and very talented, people fuck up. No need to pylon
That’s not a fuck up that’s a placebo talent slapping u in the nalgas
An un-intoxicated monkey who didn’t need computers to tell her which songs matched with which songs could have done better.
The fundamentals of being a dj is listening to the music to mix it . Ffs what a joke to real djs like myself who got unnoticed for ppl like her
6:20 dnb track actually slaps hard!!!
how are these people famous?
Cool set. Yeah as a DJ she messed up , it happens. Could have made it less noticeable though.
no its unspeakable to fail at this level. this is literally day one shit.
Listening to each individual song on spo tify with ads would have sounded better. What a disaster.
This is just embaressing
She sold her soul and this is the result. We want Halfaxa back
Go touch grass
@@GabCoelhoMusic anyone who says that yank phrase is too online to be telling folk to "touch grass" hahahaha
QUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN
amazing set and music 💗💗
💕
horrible wtf
12:47
4:39 at this very moment DJs knew the pending disaster about to ensue.
Well… she is not a DJ.
@@jackascharni yes she is , shes up there djing bud
Grimes is good at taking other people's great music adding a bad bit to it and publicizing it alot through her relationships and edgy waffling about politics and fairy mom dancing. Really a talent
13:03 XDDDDDDDD
Where are the talented bands playing actual instruments?? This is what Coachella has become? Social Media is killing music. People will listen to any trash music and like it. This is sad. RIP good music.
The music was good and the song selection was good. The mixing skills were something else. The interruptions for the apologies were unnecessary.
Good tools are only good if you are a good professional... for people that don't know how to make good use of them, they are just bricks.
@@brunodonizetti9350 thiss
If she played vinyl, that would never happen 😉
not necessarily
OMG
It would have all been fine if she just didn't have to use the synch button. If you can't play without a synch button, you have zero talent. I've been DJ'ing for 30 years and I have never once pushed that button on any rig I've ever played on.
Vynel and qberts for life 👍
nah its not something special that means you have talent to use it or not but this is a good case here of why people think that lol...
But yeah. I usually use sync to when I need to quickly switch a song into a deck and need it to lock into the first cue point asap because the software won’t load into it and I have a very quick transition to do.
to the untrained ear, it didn’t sound that bad. i like her song selections but yeeeee the mixing and random pauses messes up the vibe.
My thought exactly. A train wreck every now and then would be forgotten but people are going to remember her pausing to apologize.
@@onlyphamShe’s only human and it seems she got nervous. Grimes is messy. Thats why I like her
@@bellat6889 The songs selected was great. The visual were amazing. Apologizing for the mess up was OK but she didn't have to apologize four times. But I think you're right. She was probably really flustered after the first error and that made her job all the more difficult. The crowd was very positive. They keep cheering her and encouraging her to continue.
Don’t worry about your Maths! Not a good enough a dj for this shit🤣
This is deejaying? 🤣
HIRE A ACTUAL DJ!
AN*
Really enjoyed the visuals 🤩 nothing like the Sahara tent. And I thought it was pretty amusing when she stopped the music and started talking in between the songs 😅 Definitely made her human
I thought the visuals were amazing. The track selection was good. The mixing was the problem.
❤
thres a difference between being human and being garbage
The audio quality of this video was worse than her technical difficulties. 4K doesn’t make a difference for a concert if the audio is inconsistent.
Jesus Christ, it gets worse as the video goes on. Anytime the bass comes in it sounds like music playing through crumpled receipt paper. Fuck.
I think its from a gopro camera. Its so stable, but the mic isnt meant for this. Great recording tho.
Bro it's a CZcams video off someone's phone what do you expect? A perfect recreation of a $500k speaker system?
@@Pinpadpromptsyea. if you’re gonna be recording a set, act like you know what the fuck you’re doing. uploader is a fraud.
11:03 😮💨
Sounds like when i go 💩
It’s giving cyber truck release vibes lmao
To much theatrics...not enough DJ
You get what you pay for
I honestly hopes she mixes those screams into her next single.
I wonder if she will ever grow up.
@13:35 DOES ANYONE KNOW THIS SONG, GOOGLE KNOWS NOTHING BC ITS SO OFF 😂
My comments are getting deleted it looks like. But just Google "grimes Coachella 2024 song list set reddit". Grimes reddit group has the whole list.
This one is @ 13:35 is "liberte". Most of them were new songs unreleased.
Haha she pops up looks like she's going down on someone and is air banging the decks 😂 you guys think making music and djing is this? Complex technology 😂😂😂
Fake djing at its best.😢
The set is amazing. Audio is off.
Ni trayendo el set armado en un pendrive. Que lamentable.
Sí. fue muy desafortunado.
Turns out if you are reliant completely on technology, and can’t play an instrument in a pinch, or sing a song that there is a difference between being a performer and a musician.
Sucks for her no doubt. Welcome to the future.
There is no music either when the strings of the guitar break too grandpa
@@betul628 I’m actually an Emmy award winning composer and teacher in Logic Pro X, youngster.
@betul628 nahh bud it's what happens when you don't make any of your music and have it all ghost produced for you. She has no idea what she is talking about.
@@betul628 nowhere near the same scenario lol, ppl are usually very prepared for that. not many big gigs are ruined from that happening. way easier fix.
@@GROUCHOMusic thanks for the cv, we will get back to you as soon as possible
I don't care how popular or talented someone is. DJ's who climb up on the table are super goofy. It is the goofiest thing and it's so 2010 but they keep doing it.
One other thing. Evidently, she studied neuroscience. I'm assuming there's some math involved with that or at least leading up to it. I don't care if a DJ uses sync but it's kind of silly to not learn how to beat match as well.
It's because she doesn't know how to DJ lol.. ghost produced music. Press play didn't work too well for her
Relying on technology to much
She’s not even singing any of this shit live
lol
