Standing in front of his house, Akira looked over the small village he called home.
The villagers looked to him like a reliable young man, and so when the Church of the Britons came looking to raze the village to ashes... he was tthere.
First fired was a catapult, lobbing a large assortment of small objects. Aiming to destroy all that lay in the village of Afthlian.
But Akira's eyes glowed bright and blue, so much that even in the waking moments of dawn, his glowing eyes were clearly visible amidst the golden glows of the sun.
Akira looked up to the sky and waved his hand, and blackness covered the village, the blackness smoking like smoke from a fire, but solid like a wall. And nothing launched, touched the ground.
Akira walked forward, as the villagers stumbled upon themselves to move away from him. In fear of what they have seen.
Akira stood before an army of men. A sea of armor and horses and metal and flesh. One man stepped forward, likely a knight captain or some such.
"Demon scum. Hear me! Surrender yourself, and spare the village of Aftlian. Or fight and all will burn along with you."
"Human scum, hear me. You know not the danger you now foolishly stand against. Flee with your lives and I will spare them. Fight to your last breath and I will crush it. You will find no recourse in my embrace, nor any salvation or peace in your destruction. You have been warned."
