Izaak Houck - Symphony nº 2 "the Four Seasons" for orchestra (demo)

This monumental symphony by the Dutch composer Houck (1849-1934) can only really be appreciated after listening multiple times. Its pastoral style will grow on you.
The four parts are: Spring - Autumn - Winter - Summer. Enjoy!

Sinfonia davvero molto bella e ricca di melodie intense e ispirate. Non concordo che servano più ascolti per apprezzarla e goderla. Ricorda parecchio nelle intenzioni le sinfonie di Joachim Raff, anche se la strumentazione è meno complicata e più pulita... Forse il paragone più calzante è col boemo Kalliwoda, specie la sua Quinta sinfonia...
