Tony you are spending my money again....this iHood seems to be the a welcome addition for anyone who does outdoor activities or work during the colder months. The prices of this style of clothing has been coming down over the recent years with the influx of companies, I remember when it was just the tool companies making these for their battery platforms.

Great review. It would be nice if the IHOOD socks had blu tooth connectivity. We love the chemical packs and our Ororo heated vests which are fairly similar!

Usually the only thing for me that gets cold is my fingers. If it’s really cold or I’m going to be in the cold for a long time I have those heating packets that you put inside your gloves.
Joe I’m like you, my hand and feet get cold and I’ve used the chemical packs that work for about 8hrs.

Perfect! Large is my size. I could have used the Ihood during our rifle portion of deer season for sure. Muzzle loader is late December and even colder. I love the control options on that vest. Very “cool”.

Luke, with jackets vests and socks they cover most of the parts of the body that get cold. At one point they offered gloves but currently they don’t.

David, though I’m still testing the socks out. So far they are OK but I need to get them on a 4-6 hour ice fishing trip to see how well they perform and keep my feet warm.

Tony beautiful video on I hoodwarm vest . Probably work great for me on moose rock 🪨. It’s coldest spot on the rock 🪨 for moose hunting. My hunting season is 3 month still open until December 31 .

iHood Antlerless season started this morning and the Holiday hunt is end of the month the size large would work perfect.👍
We just finished our muzzleloader and our T-zone (doe only) is next week. The vest has worked very well.

What do you think of the split fire 3465 splitter
The one I was looking at splits down.and back
Thomas I’m really impressed with the split fire line of splitters.
I’m 6’3” and the 12” standard tire splitting height is 24” and would kill my back.
I would probably opt for the 8” lift with the 13” tires bring the working height to 32”.

Great review on the ihood. Vest I have been using Milwaukee heated jackets for several years now had a lot of good luck with them. when one quits working might try one of these out 👍. How much are the heated socks? Does that 10% discount work on that as well or only the vest
Tom the Milwaukee was one of the first companies to bring the heated vest and jackets to the construction industry. It has been very successful for them.
As you know the more companies that enter the heated clothes market the price gets cheaper for consumers. Competition is a good thing.
To my knowledge 10% is on any of the ihood products.

I’ve never used the Ihood battery operated clothing. I’m pretty good at layering. My be worth at try especially when hunting or ice fishing.
Richard like you, prior to testing the ihood products I was a fan of layering to keep me warm.
But I was very impressed with the heated vest in 20 degree weather.
Can’t wait to test in sub 0 weather.

Frances I was skeptical about the vest but after using it during our hunting season and several splitting sessions with the Axis I am impressed.
They previously offered gloves but have stopped offering them, not sure why.

Hey Tony I just picked up an Fiskars x27 and I used one for a bit maybe a year or 2 ago, so I knew how it felt. I just bought it to clean up a tree at my parents house.
It felt different, and I couldn't figure it out right away. But apparently it is the new version of the x27 which is 2 inches longer so 38" (96cm) vs the old 36" (91cm ).
I am conflicted at 6'1 the old one felt perfect, the new one feels more like a splitting hammer, even though they still weight the same. Old one was balanced perfectly for me..
Do you have the new one in the US yet and what do you think about it? I got it in a store in germany last week.
This is the first I’ve heard of the length being changed.
I will have to stop by some stores that carry the the Fiskars X27 and check it out. Thanks for letting me know.

I would love to try the IHOOD while ice fishing. Preferably on Saginaw Bay! Hopefully, it freezes this year. Last year was so warm it didn't .
I can’t wait to try them ice fishing. My daughter has used a heated vest (not an ihood) for ice fishing and was glad I was trying one.
We are heading to ND fishing so that will be the test.
