It's kinda ironic that Noah Weisberg is playing a role that Christian Borle originated on Broadway, considering that he was in Legally Blonde with him and even understudied Emmett!

same casting type i guess 😭😭 sometime you just have auditions where like there’s two of you who always go for and get the same roles, like you just always seem them at your auditions and they are always going for the same role as you

I still love watching this after seeing the nation tour myself, it's a great thing to watch rehearsals. Everyone in the cast is insanely talented, even if the set changed or there are different lines, it's a great thing to see. Noah Weisberg is a great fit for Wonka and I really appreciate him and look up to him, playing such a big role, it was amazing to see everyone on stage and meet a few of the cast.

Nate Hackman is Mr. Salt in this version. I did Hunchback of Notre Dame with him earlier this year.
We did this in my school and it’s fun but the songs can get annoying real fast
CandyCat you most likely did the other version which is “Willy Wonka” it has different songs. This version isn’t available yet for licenses

My high school did Willy Wonka and I played verruca salt and my drama teacher said we did it better because the Broadway show changed a lot of things.

It’s kind of annoying as living in the uk you realise that we actually use real kids on the West End for our Charlie and the Chocolate Factory rather than adults. Why can’t you use children? Is there some law against it in America?
Chloe Cooper it was to make Charlie more innocent and like able. Besides in the west end they had three-five understudies for each kid and they did not want that.
The Mr Beauregarde has great vocal expressions but absolutely zero stage presence and body language/dance awareness. He needs to be much groovier and more confident in his posture imo

Jose Lee i think the main issue was was the set was so disappointing. It barely came close to capturing the magic of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. A lot of people also didn’t like the kids being played by adults. (Tbh I personally love “most” of the new songs)
and they shouldve just transferred the West End original version.
i saw it closing night in nyc, it was very well done and i had a great time!
do you see shows a lot or as a rare special thing? cause i know people who rarely go, like anything lol
