The Shortest-reigning Monarchs in History
Vložit

- Throughout history, there have been monarchs whose reigns were exceptionally short, lasting only days, hours, or even minutes. One such example is Louis-Antoine, Duke of Angoulême, who briefly held the title of King of France for just 20 minutes following his father's abdication in 1830. Another notable case is King Louis XIX of France, who technically reigned for just 20 minutes after his father's abdication in 1830 but never actually exercised power. These short-lived reigns highlight the volatile nature of monarchy during certain periods in history.

Here are the main steps how I create a video 💻📽 :
💡 First of all I come up with a topic. Then I collect the necessary information from statistical sites, forums, discussions in various communities (All sources can be found below). Then I start assembling the scene. When the scene is ready, with the help of a neural network, I create unique cantileveres and make a preview. After this I'm looking for music on youtube creative studio or fair use sites. Finally I do video editing with Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.

Hello. How do you like the video?
Where is Aurangazeb Alamgir ??
Who ruled nearly 50years in Hindustan ( United India-Pakistan-Bangladesh)
And what criteria did you use to make the list? There are no Russian mtnarkhs at all, although Ivan the Terrible ruled for more than 50 years.
Juana ok UK, 9 days
La reine Élisabeth II est techniquement le monarque régnant le plus longtemps au monde de toute façon car les huit premières années du «règne» de Louis XIV étaient en fait sous une régence - sa mère a appelé tous les coups pendant ces années.
This list is so ridiculous incomplete, it is not even funny anymore. What are your exact criteria? Why using Monarchs in reign at the moment? Why do some monarchies have multiple entries, why some not at all? Why do you start with longest reigns when it should be about shortest reigns? It is frankly a large mess.
King Charles III is still king so that's a very odd monarch to include
He is very old and wouldn't last much longer.
@@Quarequieus Agreed. At 75 he is old and has been ill recently but is still the King of the United Kingdom. Plus his mother was 96 when she passed and his grandmother 101 so hopefully he has a good few years left in him
@@kevinmcfarlane2545 Forgot to mention that his father almost made it to hundred.
@@QuarequieusI’ve got 💰 riding on him getting to 80.
Louis XIX
His approximately twenty minute "reign" makes him the shortest reigning monarch for the time being, reportedly spent listening to his wife and her pleas not to sign the abdication...😂😂😂
What's the criteria to be included on this list? Because plenty of monarchs are missing. Also it's tittled "shortest" in history but includes the longest. Perhaps current monarchs should be a seprate list? But anyways, King Charles has officially surpassed his Uncle, Edward VIII who abdicated.
Es fehlen
- Friedrich III., deutscher Kaiser, 99 Tage, Deutsches Reich
- Johannes Paul I., Papst, 33 Tage, Vatikanstadt
Da fehlen unzählige Herrscher da dieses Video im Grunde den Anspruch erhebt, alle Monarchen abzubilden, was allerdings kaum machbar wäre, aber du hast recht, Kaiser Friedrich III. bzw. IV und Johannes Paul I. hätte man schon erwähnen sollen.

his name is not Emperor Showa, he is Emperor Hirohito (showa is name of an era, used like adjective in this context in Japan)
Eperor Showa is what he is called in Japan. You don't use the name of an emperor, living or dead.
@@klausolekristiansen2960 I AM A JAPANESE AND WELL UNDERSTAND ABOUT JAPAN
Showa is not his name, and is the name of an era (repetition), so in that situation, Emperor hirohito is definitely appropriate though both are usually OK
And you MUST know the name of emperors are occasionally used and it's not necessarily rude particularly in Japan
Thank you for the update, World Data 3D..!! Awesome 3D animation work..!!
Where is Juan Carlos I of Spain? His reign was from November 1975 until June 2014
You missed Maximilian, Emperor Mexico who reigned for 3 years and Agustin the first, first ruler of the Mexican Empire also in the 1800s. A lot of omissions for several countries on this coundown.
Nobody: There's a king of United Kingdom called Bob and he was knighted in 1968 and was king for 8 hours.
He wasn't a king, as far as my research goes

Mexico had 2 monarchies after its independence and neither lasted 5 years, the first with Agustin de Iturbide lasted just 11 months and the second with Maximilian of Habsburg lasted only 4 years, not to mention that both monarchs were executed when they were dethroned.
Queen Magarethe II of Denmark?

¿de dónde sale que Fernando Vii de España (Spain) reinó durante 48 días?
There are so much mistakes in this: some monarchies having multiple entries, others have none at all, starting with the longest reigns, including multiple monarchs who are on the trone today. It almost looks like this all is done deliberately to generate comments.
Also some seem to be lifespan not reign

First place legitimately belongs to Queen Elizabeth II! Louis XIV was 4 years old when he became king but he did not understand or realise anything and other personalities ruled on his behalf. So Louis ruled officially for only 58 years! And Elizabeth II was 25 years old when she became Queen, which is fair and constitutionally correct.
@@Idj3.5-0 I don't see what relevance age and century has here? If Elizabeth II became queen at the age of 4, she would have ruled for 92 years and you would call that an "Exact Time" of reign?
@@lukanurijanyan1077 If we look at verifiable reigns by exact date, it is still Louis XIV who holds the record for the longest reign for a sovereign state monarch (i.e. internationally recognized as sovereign for all or most of the reign). Having become king at four and a half years old, he will have spent 72 years and 110 days on the throne of the Kingdom of France, and is therefore ahead of Queen Elizabeth II by a little more than two years. Elizabeth II reigned less long than Louis XIV. This in no way prevents us from saying that being second is already very good! especially for a queen who recognized that the king of France was first.
@@lukanurijanyan1077 In reality, you are confusing the 2 reigns, which you should not do. The only difference is that the Queen of England was old enough to rule when her father died. While the king of France was too young. But he is the legitimate king, he is the direct son of the previous king. So we set up the regency. The regency ensures the continuity of government while waiting for the sovereign to be able to assume his responsibilities. The person who exercises power as regent acts on behalf of the sovereign, so the minor or incapacitated sovereign is still considered the king or queen, even if they do not actively participate in government. The regent acts on his behalf and exercises royal authority until the sovereign is able to take control himself. However, the king is the king, and therefore Louis XIV was indeed the legitimate king. It's simply that some countries want to compete and be in bad faith, that's all. And for Elizabeth II, with the different living conditions of the time of Louis XIV, well she lived longer but her reign was shifted later, and shorter, that's all.
