    I had the Paganini then the heimdallr before I got in the position of getting the actual omega no time to die,the heimdallr is apart from the colour of the indices is a perfect replica there's no other watch comes close to the omega, anyone who wants to know what it's like to wear the actual no time to die watch get the heimdallr it's an amazing watch.

    Gonna have to go with the Heim. It’s steeper but the shark logo and the Ti and other differences are like “Yeah i’m an homage watch but also totally my own” and I love that.

    I think i would put the Heimdallr as number 1 .I agree the Pagani should be in third. However, i bought the Pagani in December and it doesn't have any back play in the bezel. I think the NH35A is a superior movement to the older Miyota 8215 . My Pagani NH35A is running at +/- 0 seconds a day !
    I only paid £74 off Ali express so it's considerably cheaper than the other two.

    I've had the Pagani with mesh and black silicon bracelets. I'm very pleased with it, especially for $62, lol. Heimdallr ($145, today on Ali. ) with mesh (its bracelet looks like much higher quality than the Pagani mesh) is on the way for a comparison of Titanium vs. the 316L. One will go back to Ali. I'm not crazy, from the pics, about the blue tinted AR coating on the Heim.,its indices design and the entire appearance of the dial compared to the Pagain. We'll see how the Heim. wears in person.

    Excellent comparison video, well done! Subscribed! I would love to wear the NTTD Omega to the new James Bond movie but I don't have a spare $9200. So I am going to buy the Phylida. It is the closest and most accurate homage to the 007 Seamaster.

    I ended up purchasing the Heimdallr and Phylida (Phylida's NTTD is updated with engraved specs on back, female end links, and an engraved He crown), and I tell you, they both have their pluses. I was considering keeping what I thought was the best of the two but I really like both. Both movements (NH35A and PT5000) are within 1 second out of the box -- phenomenal! Lume is poor on both, but my Heimdallr is better than the Phylida. The Phylida's dial is most true to the original, even in a nice gray-brown colour, but the case and crystal appear more refined and like the original on the Heimdallr. The blue cast from the AR everyone is mentioning on the Heimdallr is really a non-issue. I get more blue hue from my Breitling and the minor hue on the Heimdallr adds some interest. The AR coating the the Phylida is truly clear. Heimdallr's mesh bracelet is incredible quality, whereas while the Phylida is a solid and nicely done bracelet, the locking mechanism is not very solid. Overall, the Heimdallr wears a little more like a dressy diver and the Phylida a more rugged toolish diver -- both are keepers, IMHO, especially at these prices.

  • @pierce_fierce
    @pierce_fierce Před 3 lety +8

    I've had both, and I actually prefer the Heimdallr. The deciding factor was really the case material being Ti. It just got so much more wrist time. Also, I prefer the mesh style better than Phylida's chunky monster of a bracelet made me not wear it as much. I think the other thing I did like better was the boxed sapphire on the Heimdallr, although no one can dispute the fact that the Phylida has a closer 'homage-ness' to the OG NTTD. Biggest downfall of the Heimdallr is it's bezel action, but, something that isn't visual so it doesn't bother me as much.
    The PD isn't even worth talking about IMO at that price comparatively.

    Great comparison, thanks! My vote go for Heimdallr: premium materials over the two others and best looking homage (balanced with similar design from original but not copycat). Phylida has the best dimensions, but I feel it's just a clone design with a very bad name.. it could be better. I have the Pagani and I like it, fortunately bezel action in mine it's good, but the no color combo at the window date hurts.

  • @samwang5831

    The HRV should work. By unscrewing the crown you open up a hole in the case which allows the air (containing Helium in saturation diving- in a capsule) pressure to be equalised during de-compresson. Yes, you could have achieved the same by pulling the time adjustment crown. The same is true for Rolex. It is a great marketing gimmick though, some people may think such advanced technology is what makes the watch so expensive.😁

    Hey good on you for doing a three way comparison. I pretty much agree with you on most of it. I have the Gen 1 Phylida NTTD. This has a white date dial unfortunately and a satin black dial and only 100M water resistance The indexes are a decent colour an funnily enough the lume is quite decent. But the new version that you have is much better, the bezel is nicer (not shiny like mine) and black date wheel. It would be perfect if the date was at 6, like the Heimdallr. I really do like the Broad Arrow insignia on the Phylida. Now have you seen the Octopus Vintage Black NTTD homage? This looks really nice and has a fully lumed bezel (as per the real thing) and I'd love to see a review of that! Thanks for this excellent review.

    I just hope in the future they produce an improved model with the following improvements:

    Titanium construction
    Lumed bezel

  • @ashcarrier6606
    @ashcarrier6606 Před 2 lety +2

    I went with the Heimdallr for my choice, although I have enough NH35 movement watches and really would like to try others.
    My bezel is essentially unusable. I cannot turn it in anything like the way it was in the review. I would need to fashion some sort of plastic spanner/wrench tool on my keychain to turn it. But this doesn't bother me much. The watch looks great and it was the titanium case that won me over anyway.
    My only other complaint is that Heimdallr sent along a NATO strap, but it is blue and black, rather than the colors of the Omega strap that so well compliment the NTTD watch. But I like the mesh well enough that I will keep that on anyway.

    I own the Heimdallr and the thread for the screw down crown has stripped out leaving the crown unable to be screwed down. To heimdallr’s credit, they offered to have me return the watch for repair (to china) or send me a new crown and the tube. Chose to have them send me the parts but they left it up to me to bear the cost to have it repaired locally. So the watch and replacement part is just sitting in its box. Well, I got Phylida on the NATO strap and that mesh strap from Heimdallr, win-win for me :)

  • @-CrampedStyle-

    The previous version of the Phylida was the best NTTD homage available. Then Phylida changed the coloring of the bezel and the markers (the one in this video.) It looks terrible and nothing like the Omega coloring. That lemon yellow coloring looks hideous. For that reason alone I would choose one of the other two. If Phylida brought the original coloring back, it would be a winner, but perhaps they changed it due to C&D issues.

    Just sent back the Phylida... PT5000 movemt absolutely screwed up... Hands not synced and rotor clunky in the case... And bezel not even close to being lined up... Never again Phylida!

      Thanks for the heads up. I was just about to buy the Phylida but worry about the PT5000 movement. It seems to have some inconsistency quality and reliability issue from number of reports on the internet, compare that to the ubiquitous NH35 workhorse, the PT5000 seems to need some time to mature. I think I will skip the Phylida for now.

    I have the Pagani Design. I like it as a watch--and that's why I kept it. However, as a homage, it FAILS. The colors do not match on hands, hour makers, and bezel. There is no red in the text or on the second hand. I would recommend the other two for the homage effect. The NH35 is nicer than I thought it would be. The crystal is good. The bracelet is fantastic. Wish I had gone with either of the other two. I don't have that much backplay on my bezel btw. Wonder if they fixed that.

  • @leejenkinson2671
    @leejenkinson2671 Před 2 lety

    Pagini Stated last year they would improve the bezel - this was way back on the first issue. It looks like they still can not get the bezel play corrected and that's a huge error in my eyes. Luminosity appears lower in the Phylida but the bezel and homage is way better. I have commented on other reviews and preferred them in the past the Pagini, however the fact that Pagini still has not sorted the bezel out in my eye I think the Phylida is just that bit in front!

      May have been just unlucky or got old stock. I got the PD in 2020 and the bezel has zero play in it now

    • @TheWatcherReviews
      @TheWatcherReviews  Před rokem +1

      Its easy to tell if the PT5000 you have is good or now. Turn the crown, if the resistance is high then it may have a few issues, if you turn the crown and hear the rotor moving too then you definitely have issues.
      One that works well has a slightly more resistance winding the crown than an nh35 and its smooth. Remember wind slow as excessive force can shear one of the gears

    adding a stoopid helium escape valve just for aesthetics is ridiculous, since it adds nothing and introduces a potential leakage point.
