- “I sold my weather station… no more weather stations.”
Why did Mark Griffin do that that? Because his 1968 Chevrolet Camaro is the first in the nation to successfully run strictly on compressed air. This is one Attention in the Pits you do NOT want to miss!

GREAT VIDEO JOE!!!! I LOVE MY NHRA FAMILY!!!! INNOVATION SPOKEN HERE !!!!!
Fascinating
Wow! Great to see the innovation. Awesome Big Daddy had this way back in the day. Clearly the system works as he's running 6.80's. Very cool.
"WOW" !😂
Thank you for a great interview on a unique race car.
Wow this could be the future of racing!!!
This is amazing, what a cool car! Very impressive!
Holy S--T! 😮
That has to be the wildest and coolest things I've ever seen
Mind blown !
Presumably it is compressed atmospheric air and not some 'special blend' of oxygen/nitrogen plus ??? it wouldn't be too difficult to vary the oxygen content
Now that's cool. 💯 👍🏻 👍🏻 👌 👏
I LOVE IT!!!! INNOVATION SPOKEN HERE!!!!! HOT RODDERS ARE THE INNOVATORS!!!!
SUGGESTION: HOT ROD MAGAZINE!!!
How cool is that?!
Technology at its finest
A MUST-WATCH AND LEARN!!!!! A WAVE OF THE FUTURE!!!!
Innovation gets me excited about the future, thank you for this video and congratulations to Mark and his team. I hope to see this car at the #US Nationals in September!
FORCED COLD AIR INTAKE!!! WOW!!!
Cool ride! I want one
Awesome car mark
Amazing Camaro i love it thanks my friend hope you all have a beautiful and blessed weekend
I remember when air was free...
If I recall correctly NHRA would not allow Big Daddy doing this in his Dragster years ago.
BIG DADDY, DONNIE GARTLETS!!!!!!

Big Daddy Don Garlits
Ive always known this would be a big deal once tuning technology caught up. No parasitic draw, cheap, and plentiful. I played with the idea in the late 80s and early 90s. It showed promise but was out of our league. I truly believe this will be a huge deal in drag racing going forward.
Thats a nice setup 🔥
The big difference will be the lack of downforce. Aerodynamically, it should pick up MPH here.
That’s a why didn’t I think of that idea
Wow, a classic , that runs on compression, and air.... unreal..... innovations is what racing has made itself into. Look at all innovations on last 50-60 years, in racing. This maybe one biggest. Someone said big daddy tried this back in the day, nhra wouldn't let him race it. Gas engines only. Now we have, gas, racing fuel, nitro, now compressed air at 100 degress below zero. LETS GO!!!!!!! RACING!!!!!!!!
are there any racer running water inject system under HNRA category
It should run faster in thinner air
