Put your hair in a ponytail/loose bun first and then put the claw clip over it, I had the same problem when I had hair your length!! đđ
Try pulling ur hair back in a low pony then pulling it up into ur clip! It helps fine hair stay in place and not droop down:)

in order to use the butterfly clamp clips you have to put your hair in a normal ponytail first then use the clip!! or else anyone's hair would fall out too

I have the same type of hair as you (silky/straight) and I've always had trouble with clips because my hair slips out and doesnt stay. I discovered that the secret is to use the really big hair clips (the length of the entire back of the head). Its my new favorite hairstyle to clip the hair up and pull some strands out to frame my face!
