@@darrensmith4279 I just believe Botham's version of events is an exaggeration..... more likely covering up his error! But he always was a cock so he may of done it on purpose
I often feel if Andrew Flintoff hadn't succumbed to injury so soon, I think he'd have been on the same level. His 2002-06 stats across 30 plus tests is very good. He could have played a few more years were it not for injury Stokes has surpassed Beefy as a captain.
@@tebraizshahzad3364 Stokes hasn't had to play against the West Indies circa 1980. Say what you like about Botham's captaincy, but most of the batsmen around today wouldn't fare that well against Garner, Croft, Holding, Roberts, Marshall et al....
If we only had Richie and Sir Geoffrey still commentating.
Could NOT agree with you more, spot on.
One of the great characters of the game and hugely talented, we just don't seem to have these kind of players nowadays, not the great characters.
Nice words from Boycs there because it wasn't always sweetness and light with the two
Quite. Botham isn't the pleasantest of men.

Hmmm… knobhead butting nobhead?
Thanks for this.
The greatest sportsman for me.
I still missed Ian Botham!!
Once caught one of sixes,he along with others signed my program, beefy put good catch kid, made a twelve year olds day🤗
I miss this type of commentary in the modern game where box ticking trumps content

Beefy. Legend.
Both Botham and Boycott would get in an England side of all time..but Jardine would have to be captain just to keep order!
Richie benaud looks like mr .bean from another angle 😂😂
Stop ✋ been cheeky have respect
Boycott didn't mention the time he was deliberately run out by Botham.
I bet that upset boycott more cos of his own batting average. Ian botham the greatest english cricketer ive seen in my lifetime.
Because it was made up rubbish by Botham lol
@@colingeddes2172 yep totally agree.i rate flintoff over stokes.by a mile.but botham at his pomp.the greatest by far

I'm sorry but that sidepath of Boycott.... It's distracting.
Corridor of uncertainty.
If only we had players like him today
@Stephen Small Yes but he's nowhere near Botham's level as a bowler.
