In the past 5 seasons(I counted leagues that have already been won even though the season isn't over), the Premier League has been won by two teams. To put that into perspective, Man City have won the league 4 out of 5 times. Bayern Munich has the same statistic. So does PSG. If the Bundesliga and Ligue 1 are considered farmer's leagues so is the Prem. The only major competitive unpredictable leagues are La Liga which has 3 possible winners and Seria A which has 4.

The prem is slowly losing its credibility as the best league in the world with City only winning it over and over again..

Manchester City are now a game away from winning 4 consecutive Premier League titles in a row the first team to have ever achieved this feat. Beating Tottenham 2-0 in a stadium in which they’ve struggled in recent years, that’s the mentality of a champion overcoming difficult circumstances and finding a way. This would also mean that they would have 6 titles in 7 years. From a longevity perspective, this sort of long term dominance in any league means that your league is a farmers league. Advise for any team that wants to win the Premier League, don’t rely on Tottenham if you want other contenders to drop points and this was one of the very rare times in which Arsenal wanted them to win or even get a draw. A wise man once said it’s the history of Tottenham and they were unable to take points off of City.
Tottenham have been a thorn in Manchester City’s side in recent years. Every time they play away from home in that stadium they’re a different team and tend to struggle there as prior to today they hadn’t won a premier league game let alone score a goal. They broke this hoodoo at such an important time in the season and just when they heard that Arsenal are about to win the premier league, access denied and Manchester City took care of business and secured a narrow 2-0 win. This was just huge for them not just because they finally won a league game at Tottenham Hotspur stadium, they’re on the brink of winning yet another league title. This team is just inevitable and at the business end of the season, no matter who they play against, Manchester City pick up the points and go from there and know how to do that even when they don’t play well. They’ve hit top form at the most important time of the season and history has repeated itself for them again. They’ve been in this position over and over again where the title is in their hands and they don’t let it slip and we’re expecting them to win against West Ham and secure the title. 12 months after winning a treble, in a season where at one point 3 teams were competing for the title and either Liverpool before their late season crumble and Arsenal were gonna end their dominance once and for all, only for Manchester City to win the premier league, they’re going to make it 4 consecutive titles in a row 6 titles in 7 years. Arsenal are gonna end the season with 89 points and still won’t win the league and it tells you how high the standards have been especially when you go up against a Pep Guardiola team. No matter how competitive this league is with this sort of dominance, I’m pretty sure this isn’t any different from what Bayern Munich was doing in the Bundesliga, other then have pushed them all the way and some of the league titles have come down to the last day, but at the end of the day, Manchester City even without being in top form, they’re dominating the premier league year in year out. They’re a winning juggernaut and their consistency is unmatched and they do it time and time again.
A farmer's league is a league with almost a 0% chance of any other team winning it. And overall the quality of the league has a massive disparity from the top to the bottom. The Prem has a lot of quality and theres a lot of competition. PSG and Bayern have way crazier streaks than City. Yes the Prem is rigged to keep 5 or 6 teams at the top but the top is still very competitive. Bayern will beat a team 7-0 every other week. We all know the Prem is the best league, we all need to City is an all time great because football is everchanging and not defined from an era decades ago.
