    For the 2004 Honda Accord EX Coupe (2 Door): Rather than one screw in the armrest underneath a rubber mat, you will find two screws facing in towards the door underneath (towards the bottom) of the armrest.

    Good video on how to remove door panel to enable access to a variety of components and fasteners. I used it to lower the panel to ease access to the bolts holding in the side view mirror. I didn't have to remove the panel entirely, thus eliminating the need to detach the control console on the armrest or the cable to the door latch.

      I learned the hard way that if you remove the panel as demonstrated here, the green plastic holder on the door cable will almost always break. If you remove the door handle before removing the door panel, you can avoid breaking the plastic piece. I'll be opening my door from the outside until my new cable arrives. I'm sure 8 years ago the plastic on this guy's car was still pliable enough that he could get away with this. Not so much now.

      you want to put the driver side window down all the way, then press and hold for 5 seconds. After that, you bring the window all the way up, then press and hold up for 5 seconds. That's how you reset the auto window up and down for the driver side.

    you should disconnect the door handle cable before removing the door panel, otherwise you'll get what happened in your video and that bracket holding the cable will snap and then you're out of money to replace that too. there's a cover plate right behind the door handle that you pop off and pull out the door handle, then disconnect the cable from the bracket.

      You don't have to remove the door panel to check the keyless entry switches. The unlocking receiver is part of the master power window switch unit (the one he removes from the door panel to take the wiring connectors out the bottom at the beginning). The cable goes back to the dash after that. If your receiver has gone bad, you can replace it in five minutes (it comes as part of a new switch unit). Not to be daft, but have you tried replacing the battery in your keyfob first?

    • @NutzAboutBolts

      kasjamm you want to line up the top first, where the window seal is at, it should sit on it before you start snapping the rest of the panel up.

If they all work individually on their own door, then I’d suspect it’s the master control switch on the driver side door that is at fault. I’d get another switch and swap it out to make sure it works. If not, you’ll need to further diagnose the electrical issue or the switch.

      +NutzAboutBolts Damn Lol, I'm new to cars unfortunately proud 7th gen accord owner but I've been having an oil leak...last time I had one was last year In December it was the vtec solenoid gasket I replaced it and it ran no problem until a couple of weeks ago. leaking oil again but I can't find where..seems like its under the steering wheel pump by the tensioner. you know anything by any chance?

    • @NutzAboutBolts
      @NutzAboutBolts  Před 9 lety

      Kuroshi Tsui I would say put in some oil dye or dye in general and use a black light to find the leak. You can buy the kit at an auto store. Make sure to clean the leak area, put in the dye, then wait for about a week or so, and use the dye light to trace where the leak is coming from.
      The only known leak in that area that I know was from the power steering reservoir. It leaked onto the frame and I thought it was from the clamp, but it was from the p/s reservoir, which cracked on the bottom.
