A beta in video game development is supposed to be feature complete without final polish.
This is not a beta, it's an early access type of deal (or what some would call a "marketing beta" but I don't like that term because it confuses people into thinking it's an actual beta)

In the patch notes notification we see the new huntable beast, but a Palian riding it as a mount. You don't mention it but if this was left over from concept art stage and was used without realizing it, then did you have or plan to have mounts in the future?
i really do hope this comes into fruition - even if we don't get animal mounts (though it has been alluded a multitude of times), a bike from hodari/najuma would be amazing, like pokémon! or maybe even a boat, or a swimsuit you can buy from jel so you don't just pass out from walking in shallow waters and respawn nowhere near where you drowned, like in animal crossing. the world is so expansive, which is a good thing, but it takes so long to travel from one area to another sometimes and can be so monotonous when you're in a difficult space to escape from.
on top of this, if anyone decides to pay for cosmetics, i hope there can be actual interactions with your pet companion in the future. like, it doesn't really matter if it is just repetitive dialogue. i mean... tau's can be SOMETIMES, but i still love him the same! so, even if it's just "recycled" tau lines, i would be pleased if it meant we could potentially name and talk to our pets as well!! ♡

They need to make money somehow, free games run on micro-transactions
The way I see it so long as it doesn't infringe on gameplay it's fine & completely optional
@@callumhowe3827 This is the argument people make since the dawn of F2P. Its not an issue of having items in a cashshop. The issue is when ALL cosmetics strictly come from the cashop and theres nothing earnable in the game through quest or challenges. Half of their updates are mostly things through bought with real money. Its not a good sign for a game that just recently came out and is in beta.

Im really excited to see where the game goes. There is a great foundation, but as the game stands it all just feels so empty with no real purpose driving gameplay

prices are still same? or did they finally listen the audience? After alpha test i just give up when i saw shop. Im still choosing battlepasses with 8+rare skins then one single outfit what is a core of cozy games.

Wish the store prices were more reasonable and weren't predatory being currency based. Was planning on supporting the game more
Was waiting for Palia some good years and was really disappointed. No fights/fighting, i dont like pvp, but without pve its too much. Also the story lines are too boring and long. Game is too slow.
