I LOVE this foundation!! I don’t know why more people aren’t talking about it! It lasted me an entire 10 hour work day this week.
Gen X here! Tab or Diet Pepsi in glass bottles. And Hawaiian Tropic suntan oil (or Baby Oil).... All the make-up smelled like Noxzema and turned orange by lunch. And who can forget the joys of the black eyeliner in the red pencil that you had to run over a lighter to get them soft enough to use! Graduated in 1986.
Now make-up actually works the way it's supposed to - they finally make purple eyeshadow that isn't patchy... And now instead of zits I have wrinkles and puffiness.

oh lord, yes! Class of 88 but damn the flashbacks! Pale girl, sunburn so easy, friends got into putting iodine in babyoil to use as tanning oil, then when desperate actually used vegetable oil. Even my bestfriend who was First Nation managed to burn the h3ll out of herself that day! Yeah, I was wearing oil that at least said it had 15 spf in it. Yeah, burn baby, burn! Might have been the Banana Boat brand.
I's a chicken, I was a diehard brownliner girl and always used the twist-ups because of the burning myself part. lol Well unless it was a green, blue, or deep purple from like avon in the glimmer sticks for liners! They were so smooth in the olden days.
@@Heather_A1 Baby oil with iodine!!! As a redhead, that was the only way I could get a "tan" back then! 😅 We were so clueless 🙄
We used the brown eyeliners in the red wood pencils (Maybelline?) as lip pencils too! Ah, the 80s!❤
I totally did the brown eyeliner as lip liner!
With good prep, grippy primer, and a sponge application it doesn’t cling to my extremely dry skin. If anyone has very dry skin like me. Great video 💞
Talking of not wearing sunscreen, I used sunbeds in the early 2000's. Now here I am a veritable vampire after spending all my money on lasers and retinol!

Don't stop your Tretinoin! I've actually added Bakuchiol to my Tretinoin. I seal a moisturizer in later with pure, cold pressed, organic castor oil.

I have recently added the castor oil to my end routine and it has made such a difference to my skin. It is sticky though but no problem for me in the evenings and washes off fine in the mornings :).
It's wonderful, and honestly, it is sticky, when 1st applied, but not so much in the morning. Just nice, soft skin!@amandaf5664

My baby brother was a toehead, not I, a pale brunette, and he hated his freckles and I had to convince him he didn't get freckles because he had blonde white hair and he was lucky to get teeny tiny tans instead.

I waiting for you to do this one it is the best foundation I have run across ever. I have tried sooo many, not as many as you but way too many for a non CZcamsr. I do samples but also buy and keep and buy and return.. this one is my top and the fair olive 2 is a perfect shade for me, I can't say match because so many match me but don't always look as good as other.

I’m glad you mentioned about the tretinoin! I’m in the same boat. I had to go back down to 0.025% from 0.05% bc I just couldn’t adjust. Much better now going lower in strength and using nightly instead of 3x week. 😊
I’m 53. And just bought this two weeks ago. It definitely has to sit on my skin for a while before it looks good and I can’t use powder throughout the day. I just have to gently blot. I love the range. I bought the light olive 2 which is perfect if you are a Revlon buff, olive shade 💙🫒. I just wished it looked better on my skin overall.
For someone my age though with combo-dry skin, (good skincare routine), I’m not sure I like it more than Armani luminous silk or the color.Stay normal dry foundation.

Thanks!! With it so short I was having to bleach it too often to do the funky colors, so I'm taking a break from them (mostly out of laziness lol). We'll see how long until I can't handle seeing all my grays! lol. If they'd grow out uniformly, I'd be fine with it, but they're so random!

I’m so glad you reviewed this foundation! It’s one of my favorites 😊 I am very fair with cool undertones and they have a shade light enough for me. Also it sits so well on my more mature 51 year old skin. And yessss us Gen X-ers didn’t even know about sunscreen back when. Man I got some awful burns! I would actually try to stay out of the sun as much as I could bc I just burn and peel but I don’t tan. 🤷♀️ Oh! I wanted to let you know I’ve been using the Bakuchiol cream daily that I ordered from you about a month ago and I LOVE it! My skin loves it and just drinks it up! I notice small changes like my skin looks plumper and more hydrated. I still have the fine lines around my eyes, and some under eye bags , and fine lines around the mouth and on the forehead but they seem much less pronounced! And I do not have any dry patches that my makeup wants to cling to. I will definitely be ordering more 😊 thanks for the wear test too on the foundation. I thought it held up pretty well also. I was hoping that you might review this one cuz it looks like they make my perfect shade, but the last foundation I found that did accentuated my texture quite a lot. If you try any other about face products, I'd love to see reviews :) Halsey seems to choose interesting fun shades for eye products, but I don't have the most experience with their formulas. This wore beautifully!

That foundation looks fantastic on you. The second coat you used on your sun spot area, has it nearly undetectable. I'm going to buy this foundation. I'm Gen X and the only water we ever drank was from the water hose. It had that water hose flavor. My skin is fair so I have always had to wear sunscreen when I went outside. I'm night shift now, so I don't wear it at all.
I love this foundation! The only downside is that I have to mix two shades…. But it’s worth it! Does good on my dry skin. Covers so well! And lasts!

Most reviews about this foundation have been positive, which makes me wanna try it, though I'm not a fan of foundations with a doe foot aplicator, I think it makes it a bit difficult to get the product out and a lot of it goes to waste when the doe foot can't pick anymore product up, but that aside it looks great! 👍 thnx for the review Shelly, have an awesome weekend!... hugzzz 💜
It's probably the only thing I don't like - the packaging. And the applicator doesn't pick up nearly enough product so it's a multi-dip situation. If it wasn't so pretty on the skin it'd be a deal breaker for me but dang it's pretty! lol

This looks really nice on your skin, probably one of the better ones (this and the previous one you did by the same company as the oil you showed in this one). For dry skin, try adding castor oil to your end routine before bed and see if that helps with dryness.
Wanted to share one of my old time favourite sandwiches with you, called a Chip Buttie (english). Hot french fries (we have bigger more square cuts, we call em chips) and tomato sauce on bread. Yum!

We loved putting baby oil on the skin. LoL. Well most people did. I was into wearing sunscreen for some reason. I always knew it would age you and I remember seeing the leathered skin on older women. But my best friend was into the oil!
As a 55 fellow dry skin girly using a Korean peeling gommage before my Retin A gets rid of a lot of those pesky peelies...
100% on lower concentration, higher frequency. Trentinoin and .1 retinol from Skinceuticals hopelessly lit my face on fire. Differin, on the other hand, I can use on my forehead only most nights and it makes a huge difference in fine lines. Hope it works for you!

Have you ever tried rabanne and their metallic eye paints? Also curious if you use an eyeshadow primer to help your shadows stay in place!
I did a "find my shade" on Ulta and I put in my Revlon Illuminance 117ight beige and got Olive F2. Never before have I identified with having an Olive skin tone. Oh well. Then I put in my Wet n Wild Nude Ivory and got F1 Neutral. Any insights? Buy both 😱?
Your foundation looks awesome. I've been using Trentinoin .025(?) for about 2 years. My doctor said I don't need to go stronger. Yep, that foundation looks wonderful. I wonder how it'd look on a 67 year old face? 🎣 another excellent show. It makes sense the Revlon Illuminance 117 light beige is known to be a fair olive foundation. It sounds like you might be a warm olive. You should watch this video. Alex is a well known warm olive.

This is so crazy, I was actually searching around for reviews of this foundation today and was just searching to see if you did one. Sure enough you just posted it a couple hours ago! That feels like a good sign 😂Thank you for your skincare service!
Besides this one I was considering the Kosas revealer foundation, but I saw a LOT of reviews that recently people who have been wearing it for a few months have started to develop bad reactions to it. They said it worked fine for a month or two and then they started to develop more serious irritations, redness, reactions, etc. It seems to be a decent amount of people complaining about it. I wanted to ask, did you continue to use the Kosas foundation regularly and if so, did you have any reactions to it?
I don't have reactions to it but there is a controversial ingredient in it that is a common allergen, Artemisia Capillaris flower extract. People allergic to the mugwort family of plants can have severe reactions to this. I've only recently learned of it but it can be serious.
Shelly, are you using the sandwich method when applying your Tretinoin? That is the only way I can tolerate my .05%. I have zero peeling with sandwiching the Tret between moisturizer.

Speaking of sunscreen, which do you prefer under make up. I’m 68 and just started wearing sunscreen. I have trouble with it pilling under make up. I have the driest skin anyone can have😂
For sunscreens you can buy here, I usually go with the Purito Daily Go-To SPF50 (I get it on YesStyle but I think it's available on Amazon too, a South Korean brand). But primarily I use sunscreens that I buy in Ireland because their actives are so much better. The US is way behind in the sunscreen department.

My tretnoin has been doing an excellent job getting rid of my freckles!!! Best thing I’ve ever done for my skin!!! Thank you derm!!! And sunscreen of course … I’ve only started doing it last May and it’s a whole world of difference plus always wearing big hats 🤍🤍🤍 I tried many times and it was so gross I couldn’t stand it on my face I’m so thankful I found the K sunscreens!!! HaruHaru wonder (yellow) is my absolute favorite! Its a moisturizer primer perfect with all my foundations best skin day ever in a tube lol perfect satin finish 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
