Daft Punk is a French house music duo consisting of Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter. They started releasing music together in the mid-90's and quickly gained success with their unique blend of techno, dance, disco and rock sound. They are also famous for their costumes, which keep their faces disguised, and have been updated several times throughout the years. you know musicians are good when they continue to release good stuff and keep their name alive. When the music tastes changed, they changed their style along with it. Daft Punk is probably the greatest EDM duo of all time.

You know this video was posted on 6 Dec. 2010 and Random Access Memories were released in May 2013, maybe that's the reason why there is no information about that.

I'm not a huge Pharrel Williams fan myself but I liked the other songs they wrote like Instant Crush, which has a good beat. The music video to it though is so haunting.

I think you should've mentioned how daft punk actually was saved because of their 2006-2007 tour and alive album. It was going down hill for them for almost a decade and the people rediscovered the evolved daft punk. It's quite amazing. Coachella would've been their last outing.

My first favorite band and stayed until I got 12 or so I think and then Muse happened and Daft Punk was in second place. Then Twenty One Pilots happened and Daft Punk is now in third place. These 3 bands mean a lot to me.

Pharrell is a great artist but I feel he didn't "introduce" them back to everybody. I think it just introduced them back to mainstream media. Their a great band on their own and Pharrell kick started them but a lot of their songs on Random Access Memories are amazing and I feel they didn't get as much attention publicly.

Daft Punk became immensely popular since Discovery era at least, if someone tells you Pharrell kickstarted their career he hasn't been around for a long time. Everyone has heard One More Time once in their life or else you'd be living in a cave. I've heard people complaining Daft Punk won the album of the year grammy instead of Taylor Swift using the excuse "they haven't been around as long as Taylor", excuse me? they've been working for 2 decades and more! They just like their privacy. In an interview Thomas explained they liked having a private life and at the same time disappearing for a long time and appearing out of nowhere, making a big surprise they also do it for tour. They like keeping mysteries.

well, to be fair, Pharrell actually HAS been around for awhile just maybe not for as long as Daft Punk but I remember him from N.E.R.D. era at least. I loved their "She Wants To Move" song and it was released 10 years ago.
Nastikss I'm not denying Pharrell had some popularity on his own, I'm just saying Pharrell didn't kickstart Daft Punk's career. They worked hard by themselves to be recognized without his help waaay before Get Lucky.
