Hallelujah Shadow Nativity for Church Christmas Program

Amy, our Young Women’s president, saw this Hallelujah Shadow Nativity online and wanted to do it with our youth this year for the ward Christmas party. But none of the pieces were coming together. The sheet was too short and the kids’ shoes were showing up underneath. Some of the props were too floppy. And on top of everything else, her car was stolen from the church parking lot! It was the worst week ever.
But when she went in on Saturday morning to set everything up, she was surprised to see another member of the stake who was working on the exact same program for the next week! Neither one of them were supposed to be there at that time. It was a tender mercy and a Christmas miracle. Melissa told Amy she could use anything she needed for her program - the props, white sheet, professional spotlight, costumes, everything! Melissa even came to our ward program to help! The music was also a blessing. Jordan happened to come home earlier than planned and had sung this song many, many times. He didn’t even need to rehearse. Amy is amazing at the piano and was able to accompany him.
The night of the program, the spirit was so strong as the youth played their parts so perfectly. The Lord is so mindful of us and He blesses our efforts. And those blessings often come through those who show up at the right time to serve. The Lord is always looking for ways to bind His children together in love, and He knows the best way to do it is by allowing us to help one another. When we listen to the spirit and show up for each other, we feel the true spirit of Christmas.
