we saw a lot of bikers around this weekend in Pigeon Forge, we waited till Monday afternoon to head over to Gatlinburg, it was much less crowded then

Looks like a fun Labor Day weekend! My family and I spent Labor Day here 2 years ago and we had the best time. Bishop family comes up every couple of months from Lebanon, TN to Gatlinburg, it’s truly our favorite place to be! We look forward to all your content and videos. I knew it,, the BEST Labor Day weekend vlog in Gatlinburg EVER made !!! Today ( Sept. 4th), is my dad's birthday very special to me. I've been waiting patiently for YOUR vlog and I'm so very happy again. I think Gatlinburg has sooo benefitted from your videos covering all events plus,,, there should be bill board size pictures of the Smoky Mountain Family's photo at all entrances ! Me and my husband just got home about 2 hours ago from a weekend getaway to Gatlinburg Tennessee and yes it was packed! Our very first trip there it was the fourth of July and it was busy but not as busy as this weekend was. We still had a good time but was very disappointed when we couldn't find a parking space to hike the rainbow falls trail 😢 I wish I knew when the best time to come to Gatlinburg when it's not super packed but not winter either.
Hubby and i went the week before memorial day. Nice and quiet. Hotel room was cheap. Restaurants had plenty of seating..Trails was not crowded. Got to hike some, shop some and enjoyed the Smokies.
Yeah, holiday weekends certainly aren't the time to beat the crowds here. Actually late September and early October is a great time to come and not find the crowds. Before Memorial Day as well. The parking passes and reduced parking has made it more challenging to do popular Ikes. Recommend getting to the trailhead as early as possible to get a spot. Hope you guys can make it down soon at a time where fewer people are visiting! Thanks so much for watching!
We are going to have to go up on the Space needle next time.
I Almost always skip going to the area during the holiday weekends more because the more expensive hotels then the crowds. The large crowds on those weekends you just have to plan for it and know it’s coming and do things like eat at odd times and places a bit off the main road.
Growing up in Knoxville, Gatlinburg lost the charm it never really had long ago. I love the Smokies, but this ain’t the Smokies!

I used to like Gatlinburg I just stay in pigeon forge or Townsend now it's got way too crowded for me
I feel that. However, there are definitely times throughout the year to visit Gatlinburg without the crowds.
Very sad my area is so so crowded

@@SmokyMountainFamily o yes that’s true - But at what cost - people bring in trash - and crowd up and dirty up local grounds and surrounding areas are getting just as bad - At what point do we lose our small town charm and feel - just becomes a overcrowded over populated tourist area with no Mt view and with rude people - Blessings
