I had a terrible frontal lobe problem, it shrunk,. I lost 5 full years that I can't recall.
I had to relearn to read because I couldn't recall what I read in the beginning of a sentence.

there is a classic Chinese movie called Going Home which in one scene involves a funeral that a guy put on to celebrate his own death. I couldn't understand the words but didn't need to as the sight gags were obvious.

I have had a serious headache so I can sympathise with Richard Hamming you really can’t remember Jack. Five years ago I had my injury and I still can’t remember things. In fact I’ve lost 67% of my memory, so I completely empathise with him.
