Cheers Mark, yes Mays is very nice. We filmed this a week while back but the noisy guests put me off making the video. I ended up with about 50 minutes of unused footage 🙏🙏

That is an interesting looking recommendation.
I took my Thai Girlfriend there in 2022. We both really enjoyed it. Food and service were excellent. Nick Dean has done a few videos about the place and that`s how we found out about it. I`d highly recommend it.

Hi Alan, it is a mongrel accent, started from Aberdeen, then 30 miles further North, from age 16 Dunkeld then in England from age 17 to 26. After that I was in Saudi, then back to Dunkeld and latterly before moving to Pattaya back to Aberdeen 🙏🙏

Excellent videos. Thailand is a fabulous place and I plan to retire there. Unfortunately it’s another 5 years away!

Nong get rest wish you best. Cold AC in Restaurants and high end hotels after even spending approx 3 months Thailand. PI, Guam etc in a row over and over was climatized Freezing!

You paid roughly $12.50 or 450 thb for that Masaman whereas in the US it might have been $15.00 or 540 thb.

Yes, is definitely more than the norm. Mays is probably one of the top Thai restaurants in the area. She grows most of her own produce to try to be as organic as possible. You will find way cheaper meals (of lesser quality) elsewhere. Unfortunately our filming this day probably did not reflect the quality we received though 🙏🙏

Is the food as good as the place where you got married, sorry forgot the name I tried that place on my last trip in January it was lovely the wife liked it as well, similar concepts thai food with a twist.
For us probably VN Garden is better, definitely on price point. Mays though was very good for a change as we still go to VN a couple of times per week 🙏
You want to try the place the restaurant next door also great food but not as posh lol.

Sometimes I think Thai people should skip the menu and just ask for their favorites , I bet restaurants with menus that thick will have at least 8 out of 10. The pictures are more for us.

And by searchin' around that area and same road , I found ' Kai Yok Krok Chicken Mortar '.....that one seems also interesting and popular , but Isaan food , so I guess very spicy .
Yes I sometimes pick up some food for Nongs lunch from that other place, but definitely not my style of dining. The (busty) owner is very popular on social media I believe 🤣🤣

Yes this was filmed before Songkran and still in high season. Nong was totally bushed, but we had our Bangkok break shortly after this 🙏🙏
