This is absolutely my favorite song from Carousel, such a beautiful song and Laura Osnes' performance has got so much heart. Don't like the story much, but the songs in Carousel are just fucking wonderful. I'm lucky to be a part of a production of it in the Philippines, which got postponed because of COVID-19, but I can't wait until we resume rehearsals! 💕

hate to judge, i’m just an amateur untrained in music, but this attempt is too off key from the original musical sheets laid down by Rodgers & Hammerstein, and loud. amazingly the talented Hollywood and Broadway actress and trained singer Shirley Jones performed this dueted tune with her counterpart Gordon MacRae for the 1956 film production of Carousel, and to my ears (and eyes) remains THE best rendition of the song ever. sometimes you just can’t beat the first time. this song IMO is R & H’s best of their incredible songbook, and remains near the top of showtune history’s great list of accomplishments.
