Here’s a little tip besides what you said, working it slow. If you got weight on the bait, you can let it dive on beds, or anywhere with a quick jig and reel seems to get them fired up.

Yeah it's still full on just crankbaits, neds, and spinnerbaits. Got mostly pike today, but a few bass. My magdraft got smoked a few times, but never eaten. Caught 4, 2 pike 2 bass, 45 degrees. Water was probably 35-40.
I fish swim baits a lot. I know you guys and 6th Sense have had your issues, but their WHALE line is pretty awesome and comes in a variety of colors and sizes. I usually start with the 3.0 Whale (Baby Whale as it's known) to see what may be lurking around, it will catch about anything, then switch up to the 4.5 Whale when targeting bigger fish.... I even have caught Flathead Catfish on the big Whale.

Just curious if theres a baitcaster that you would recommend. I am not really a huge Shimano fan I see everyone using them, but when i hear them cast it reminds me of kids at a birthday party playing with kazoos 😂. If you could give me a few ideas i would greatly appreciate it. I love the 13 fishing reels they are extremely reliable and durable. Just looking to try something new. Thank you so much for any advice and for all the great content.
I have a 7 foot 3 Duckett incite med-heavy with a Curado DC, and I know that there are weight specifications. Would this be a lure i could use or would i need a different rod?
My only question is why do y’all use googan rods but not the googan reels? I have a googan rod and it’s perfect! Just wondering what’s up with the reels?

38 to 75... that's normal Nebraska weather lol. A month back we went from 80 degrees to 5 degrees in 24 hours. That's a little crazier.
