Great work for an awesome collection. Thanks for sharing your hobby, talent and expirence. It's inspiring to me and I and others I'm sure. You and I are currently building an Airfix P51 "together" right now. I have learned a lot from your series on that kit.
This type of project is great for keeping your modeling mojo going. I wish I had thought of it myself. Also the scale allows one to build for the theme and not focus so much on the details that a lot of us get wrapped up in. Well done.
First time seeing this… 30 JUNE 2023… Nice video, great way to show your work… I like the mirror turntables… Might look into them myself… I find myself buying aftermarket DECALS… I like to build old STUFF from REVELL, MONOGRAM… Most of those decals are dry and pealing, flaking… They are simple kits, a modeler can put details in them or just build them straight from the box… I ENJOY YOUR CHANNEL, and I APPRECIATE YOUR WORK… I’ll keep watching 👀 CHRIS from OHIO 🇺🇸
Really nice collection! I've been following this collection for a while, as I am currently building my own as well. Just a heads-up, if you really want to, the Academy Hellcat allows you to build the only F6F-3 flown by the Jolly Rogers that you can find pictures of (White 41), you just have to cut some decals!
Great collection! And you inspired me to get the HB Panther kit for my own collection! You’ve helped me out with some advice previously, and I’ll say thanks again!
Great collection. Aeroplanes that are under-represented in kit form, plus the Hellcat and Phantom where we are pretty spoilt for good kits. I have certain units that are favourites... 19 Squadron RAF and 75 Squadron RAAF, but I never though to do all their planes (and I had a self imposed 'up to 1945' restriction until recently). I suppose it helps the USN has such a strong continuous heritage. Perhaps I could do a VF3 Buffalo and VF31 F14D? Not a full collection, but do the 'bookends' but both with the 'Felix-carrying-a-bomb' motif?
Excellent collection! And all models are superbly done!!! My Dad was with VF-111. Would be nice to see that story told in the history of their aircraft as well
Wwooooow great collection! I got the same project with 72e and 48e Already got the CTA sheets, Academy's Tomcat 72e, Revell's super hornet 72e, academy's phantom 48e... I keep collecting kits for this project and mastering my craft before launching myself into it. Some kits are very hard to come by.
@HammerheadModelMaking I just bought this Academy Phantom and Crusader. I've been advised to look for the Fine Molds or the Fujimi Phantoms but they are even harder to find over here. I think I'll take the Eduard Hellcat profipack once I get the chance... and my stash will keep growing 🤣
@@Chodaboysaix objectively those other phantoms are probably better kits, but the Academy Phantom isn’t bad and it can turn out a great looking replica.
@HammerheadModelMaking oh most probably! But can't find them easily and would I have the level to achieve a result to the level of the kit and not butcher it? That's another question :) Academy's seems cost/quality effective.
Love it! Great models. I remember Jolly Rogers Tomcats coming to Harlingen and later Brownsville to air shows. Air Fiesta perhaps haha. They would practice over my ranch in Rio Hondo Tx . Cool video.
Up at 4am. Made a mistake with chai tea later in the evening and I can’t sleep haha. This is an awesome collection!! Looks great!! And love to see the last 7 years of work in one review spot!!🎉
Great builds in a theme. Jolly Rogers have a great history. Very thorough. The other commenter, @KyleSchwanz is doing a Jolly Rogers F-35. That would be a neat addition. But either way, great modeling. Thanks
Thanks a lot! Yeah, I'd love to do a JR F-35, that would be really cool. I'm just waiting on a better kit to arrive on the market for the F-35C in 1/72 scale. Hopefully soon!
Nice collection. I am also planning to make Jolly rogers jets myself. I will only make three: Revell F-4j ,Hasegawa F-14a and Revell F-18e The F-4 is already started. It is nicely detailed but rather imprecise.I hope the other two will be better qualities :)
Cool, really.nice collection of models and nicely built👍 Only the scale is wrong 🙃 I am thinkig about doing this with the sundowners in 1/48 scale. The F4 is already done, what will be next?
1/48 scale would be super cool, just that JR decals are hard to find for some of these subjects in that scale, and they take up WAY more room! But, sundowners would be a cool squadron to do, same with the tomcatters.
I’m doing something similar with Hawaii ANG birds. I have F-15C and F-4C’s completed. Raptor is in the pipe, and then I’ll need to do a F-47N, F-86, and F-102.
Yes! I just haven't acquired one yet. I have a VS-01 from Macross Zero in Skull Squadron markings, but the VF1 is a classic and I for sure need it for the Jolly Roger Collection.
@@HammerheadModelMaking cool! I was just trying to see if anyone would get that remark. I build and paint Armour models and battletech minis but my first love was military aircraft, don't have the room for any of it now. Great models and keep them coming @
I will first check with my local hobby shop, see if they can't get in what I need, if they can't then I will use either spruebrothers.com or kitlinx.com.

I'm so glad to hear that! I really enjoyed building that Airfix mustang, and I'm glad we can build it together (of sorts)!
That's what I'm trying to do now. I want all the Rolly Rodgers aircraft. It's definitely fun trying to get them. Great job!!!
Awesome, it is fun acquiring them and getting them all together!
Wow! Been thinking about doing one for the Diamondbacks, whom my Dad flew with. This was some good inspiration!
Diamondbacks would be great! Love the high viz markings on Tomcats and Superhornets.
I would love to see that, is there anyway i can see your works? Im a massive silly snake fans 😬
Outstanding !. The World's Finest US Naval Aviation. Semper Fi

Absolutely. I can usually knock out one of these kits in between larger, more involved projects. Thanks for watching!
Fabulous collection! Can't beat the skull and crossbones. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching! Couldn't agree more!

Hey Chris from Ohio, Thanks for watching. Yeah, aftermarket decals can really be helpful on those older kits. Keep it up!

Gorgeous!!!!! One of my father's uncles flew the hellcat, Corsair and F-8 during his Navy career.
right on! Thats awesome!
I enjoyed the build videos a lot. The collection looks great with them all together.
Thank you very much!

I can promise you wont be disappointed with that Panther kit! Thanks for watching!
V.nice themed collection Brett.
Can't wait to see what you come up with for a final display for the kits.
You and me both!

Excellent! Yeah, I did a lot of collecting before as well, although now I'd like to go back and redo some of them, namely the Phantom.

Absolutely fantastic build collection showcase! I especially loved your F3H and Academy F6F, as that Hellcat was my first ever model kit. Keep it up!!
Thanks a ton!
Amazing collection. I definitely want a Corsair and probably a Hellcat. I’m gonna start off with some Japanese planes and build from there
Awesome, that sounds like a good start!

have you concidered adding roy fokker's skull squadron vf1s from robotech/macross?
