- These tiny sketchbooks are so fun to make and don't require any complicated or expensive materials either! Perfect as taking with you for some plein air painting or sketching, or for a beautiful gift for someone special. I made a mistake by saying the card I used was a 12 x 12 inch pad, it was actually a 6 x 6 inch pad, which you can clearly see in the video lol Sorry about that. I also want to mention that these sketchbooks work really well with canvas paper as shown rather than normal paper as the pages will hold better in the glue as they are thicker. Be aware of this.
Not an advert and none of the products shown are sponsored, all items shown have been bought by myself and all opinions are my own, but I used the following materials by the following companies:
- 180gsm Paper Pad 6 x 6 Inches by HobbyCraft (not 12 x 12! oops)
- A5 Mixed Media Canvas Paper by Daler Rowney
- A4 coloured card/paper 160gsm by HobbyCraft
- PVA glue or Elmer's glue
- Ruler, pencil, old brush + stanley knife or guillotine

Love them! I've just made two tiny watercolor books following your tutorial! So proud! My first time🎉🎉
Awesome! I just now need to be not completely rubbish at art 🤣
Impossible! All art is subjective and beautiful 💕
This is such a great idea. I've just stumbled across your channel. Thank you so much for sharing. I'm looking forward to exploring more of your crafts. ☺
Thank you so much! I hope you enjoy my channel 😌
Love them! I normally sew in signatures, but for the little books this is a nice idea. I will definitely try it. Thanks for sharing and LOVE your new channel and journey into art (even though I'll miss your crochet). Glad you're keeping your crochet channel up so we can look back. I first learnt how to crochet from you xx
You're so welcome, thank you!
Your books are absolutely adorable! Made my first book this weekend. I didn’t use paper, I used cloth. It turned out great. Thank you so much for this video. You have a new subscriber. 😊👍
Yay, thank you!
You can also use a strip of fabric in place of paper for the inside of the spine before attaching the cover papers.
These will make brilliant Christmas gifts. I'll give it a try :)
Absolutely! 💕
So cute!!
Love these 👍👍
Gorgeous, thanku so much.
I.m making a heap of miniature books for a mini library 😤😅

Absolutely! I loved making these ☺️
Thanks for the tutorial
Not sure what I am doing wrong, but my pages are not staying in the book. You make it look easy to do, but I don’t seem to be able to get it wright LOL. Yours are great!
The key is to make sure your pages sit very flat before you glue, repeat gluing at least 3 times
Lovely
Those turned out so cute! Have you ever tried making a book with "signatures" instead of gluing? I'm enjoying your painting series 💚
I have, it's been a while though, I might make a sketchbook with signature binding soon 🤔🙏
very nice!! 😍
Thank you! 😊
Yah I need it😤😤😤

You’re welcome 😊
Thanks…i learned some tips…from Ontario,Ontario

Can I use a 140 GSM sheet for this journal?
Hi! Want to try this but I'm wondering: do you know if mod podge could work?
I would think so, modge podge is pretty strong and I think it dries clear
@@LauraEcclestonArt thank you! I would try to do it with it
