Why did he care enough to teach these things?
He was a pastor for some time. He explains himself that he's an entertainer. He's not trying to convert anybody. He doesn't want you to become addicted. Watts shouldn't become your diet, but more like a doctor, where you get better and go away and do your thing.
Rather than teaching, i'd say he is more 'reminding you'..
Because people paid him to do it. Speaking engagements were a large part of how he made his living. He points it out a few times in other talks.
You are the only one that exist. When you see others they are not separate from you, they are you. What you dont like in them is something you see in yourself and resist. Be and observe and dont make judgment. You will learn from everyone you come across they have something to teach you about youself. Someshit like that.
