Actually it s not THAT easy but it helps a lot. I needed some additional other Tutorials to solve ALL problems. If i knew that before, i had never started my wordpress project on a mamp development environment to begin with! My recommendation: Start ur project live on a server!
Yes. Some times wp will save seriolized data and we need some database migration plugin to replace that URLs in all tables

Hi! I have an existing website but i wanted to work on localhost first before uploading it on live server. I have imported all the files down to localhost and created new database name . Now, I made some changes on my website (localhost) and want to upload it back to live server. The database name on localhost is different from live server. If I upload the files and database having different database name would it affect the one that's on live server? Thank you so much in advance!
There is nothing wrong with the database name. Just set correctly it on configuration file. Thats it.

Followed until importing to myphp. Really helpful. “No data was received to import” was the message I got and it keeps happening. File size is about 58mb... and ideas?
Maybe corrupted database. Better to get help from Hosting Provider and investigate the issue by their end.

Try to zip the database also. Then 58 will be reduced to 1 or 2
Progress!! I used a zip file and now I get “#1046 - no database selected” when trying to upload db into myphp. /shakes head/

After all was done, only the home page was showing. All other pages kept saying internal server error

if your MySQL Host is not localhost, put your correct hostname instead of localhost.

after completing all the steps when i visit my URL it shows install Wordpress not my website
kindly clear my concept why you change root to sajith_user in mysql database username
because localhost has mysql default username root. But in hosting server, root is main server’s main login. For cPanel, it must not be used for configurations.

If it is 404 not found, get the .htaccess file correctly and put the same directory.
