Ruto's opposition to the BBI doesn't make him a hero, Ruto is just too corrupt and would bring more corruption along with him.
If Ruto doesn't become president, he has no future in Kenya because there would be alot for him to answer for- he needs to be in power to avoid investigations and hopefully get more power by becoming president where he can stop alot of investigations, he wants to become president so that he can really use his power to cover up once and for all the crimes him and his friends have committed.
Remember under Ruto the people he was sticking up for like the corrupt Rotich would still be working and devising more schemes to loot public money. He Ruto downplayed the seriousness of Rotich's thievery, that's not acceptable if he was deserving of high office.
Ruto is the most incompetent person to ever want to be president. When he was a minister, he showed nothing outstanding or exceptional, he was an under performer.
Ruto needs to do what Dmitry Medvedev, Mike Pence, Jo Bidden, Al Gore and other deputies or vice presidents are doing and that is supporting their leaders and working together as a team and not becoming a defacto opposition leader. Ruto's actions clearly shows you he is grossly inept politically, he has made bad misculculations and miss steps which he is trying to cover up by opportunistic opposition here and their hoping that people forget.
Ruto is probably the most incompetent fool to dare to dream to be president. Kenyans at this stage expect to vote for someone who has shone somewhere in a ministry, that's the simple test for Ruto that which he has failed in the past and refuses to take. If Ruto was really smart he'll ask for a ministry(third time around-not many people get those chances ) go there and out perform, show that you really deserve to be president then ask kenyans for their vote. Until then he should not waste his time wanting to be president.
His campaign against the BBI doesn't all over sudden make him a competent person for the presidency, it is just opposition that is it. The more he campaigns against the BBI it should also remind people that this is a grossly incompetent person who wants to be president, he is corrupt and would bring more corruption along with him to government if he becomes president.
Ruto has proven nothing to deserve to be president, maybe he should stop his supporters from killing people of other communities in the Rift Valley to show that he is a unifying leader.
President Uhuru owes Ruto nothing, Ruto should put his entitlement mentality in the rubbish bin. He has to constantly prove to President Uhuru that he deserves to be the heir to the throne that which he has failed spectacularly, he has to continuously prove himself, it is not a once off partnership during elections, it is for the term of government.
