Thanks Dan. I look forward to your updates, as a noob to electronics I have been looking for an easy way to plot peak resonance. I frankly lack the skill involved in fabricating a Ken Willmott solution.

I’ve been working with the Bode plot software from Axe tech a little more and think I’m finally am able to get consistent results. The trick seems to be keeping input and output levels just right to avoid clipping. I’m still waiting on usb oscilloscope from China. I’ll do an updated video once I’ve had some time to experiment with it.

"REW" (Room EQ Wizard) is a free and extremely versatile loudspeaker measurement program - I think you could use its sine sweep to get good graphs with your pickup in place of a mic. REW can also measure impedance if you build an impedance jig which only has one resistor for parts.. Its cool you "do" pickups. IJ only wound one about 52 years ago - perhaps #26 wire on an alnico bar magnet - DC was close to600 ohms IIRC -Ii used a tiny mic matching transformer to steup up voltage and it sounded very good - very hi-fi with extended treble- more so than a stock Fender P-bass pickup - probably too sterile for guitar use. The bobbin was in bad shape with soldering iron melted areas so did not mount it..

That sounds super cool, I’ll check it out. I’ve been using a USB oscilloscope for a few weeks and am getting much more accurate measurements. I’ll post a video of my findings soon!
