Room 411 was a real hotel room. The movie actually was filmed in room 411. However, in 2008 the Plaza was sold and half of the hotel was converted to apartments, while the other half remained a (renovated) hotel. Room 411 was on the side that was converted to condos. So while the room did exist when the movie was filmed, it is now gone due to renovations.

One of my favorite scenes from Home Alone 2 would be when Marv and Harry try negotiating with Kevin for his camera and instead of giving it to them , Kevin then throws bricks at Marv by accident while trying to aim them at Harry while he's on the balcony of a relative's apartment roof

It's rare I leave a comment but seriously this video does my favourite Christmas movie Home Alone 2 so much justice.
