The big problem with Kill the Justice League's story is that it is set in the Arkham universe and even if all the heroes get brought back it still kind of ruins the universe because they just skipped so much
True. But also these games are based on comic characters and comic worlds, where that kind of stuff is always happening. Also Arkham as a series is always just bringing in and abandoning big story’s and bits of the universe. Like a lot of the story issues with the suicide squad you can also apply to the Arkham universe as a whole. Like the games are great and I love batman as much as the next person but doesn’t change the fact that Arkham batman is constantly getting played and tricked and doing dumb stuff (same goes for the bat family).
I don’t see it as an issue but if it is an issue it’s more that just ssktjl is the whole universe.
@@blistow3519 well I don't think the Arkham games ever did anything as bad as suddenly saying there's a bunch more superheroes around in this universe and the first time you see them they all die.
The closest thing is maybe Jason Todd suddenly existing in Knight after never being mentioned in previous games which is dumb but not as bad as SSKtJL.
My problem isn't that these events are happening it's that there's so much they we just didn't get to see like we just skipped over the aftermath of Arkham Knight and we don't know how Batman sorted everything out after his identity was exposed and we didn't get to see the formation of the league, they're just there. The whole game just feels like speed run to end the universe it's so strange. There's also all the pointless retcons they put in that's also really annoying and just proves that it just should of been its own separate universe.

I mean for me it doesn’t feel as much like that like we knew all these leagues existed before this game (multiple are mentioned by thugs in knight) and also like they probably aren’t dead because multiverse like maybe the version in the game are from a parallel universe and the real league is prisoner somewhere or stuck on another earth or time travel will happen.
And yeah Arkham never introduced heroes just to kill them but they did constantly side line other heroes (robin and Nightwing) and did introduce multiple villains just to kill them in that game Hugo strange, Ras Al Gul (like I know he survives technically but he’s barely alive in knight), Talia Al Gul, you get the idea.
And yeah it would be cool to see how Batman came back from the “dead” and see the league form, and see him telling the bat family he faked his death like I don’t imagine Dick or Tim being happy. But to me that feels more like a prequel comic story than one that works for a game.
Also I could totally see a prequel game showing that story or maybe a few dlc/season the league go back in time
Sorry for the long reply. And obviously not saying you are wrong or anything because I do agree it’s a bit disappointing but I don’t think it’s as bad as everyone seems to think. But of course that’s just my opinion and your more than welcome to yours

I personally don't think Hugo and Ras are that comparable to the JL because you have a lot more time with them and they have build up to their deaths/end so they at least feel like things have wrapped up in some way but with the Justice League it's like we jump into the middle of a story but then disrupt that story and end it prematurely. It also makes all the heroes and Brainiac look really weak, like 3 goobers with no powers and a sharkman kill everyone by just shooting them and these are all villains the they've fought before but now because they have "special bullets" and stuff that's all it takes? and yeah there could be prequel dlc or the future content could explain things but considering the fate of most live service games i don't think this game is gonna make ot this far.
I also want to say that I don't think the story is as bad as others say either. I actually really like the chemistry within the Squad itself and the idea of them being the only one's left to defend the world is a good idea I just think the Arkham connections, the retcons and excuses of how they can kill the heroes really ruin it.

Honestly the thing holding this game back most is the type of game as ultimate it’s a quite basic looter shooter (like I enjoy it but I will also be realistic) it’s hard to give any characters death which isn’t just shooting because of the gameplay style every character is just provided guns so of course they had to use guns. Sad thing is they don’t have to do much to improve the death in cutscenes. Like make it so in batmans death we see Bruce fighting against the mind control and forcing himself to sit still and not fight back because the world is safer without him like if they had just changed the cutscene and added that beat (something they had already set up with flash become free for a second with Wonder Woman) it would have made batmans death more of a sacrifice.
(Could also play with the parallels of it just being a random criminal with a gun just like what happened to his parents)

Just set the game in the injustice world and then you have an actual reason to play as the squad and actually would want to kill the JL
Crime Syndicate hired by Brainiac, then endgame content is more evil versions of heroes let out on the wild after killing Brainiac. (Parallax Hal Jordan, KKK Superman, Batman Who Laughs))
I still can’t believe that people were surprised by the way Suicide Squad is, considering it’s the same game that was previewed in 22, that was so badly received that they decided to delay it until people forgot. It appears to have worked.
Shame to see Sasha Calle go but this is a good casting too

Modern day gamers are whiners when it comes to games not being updated constantly. After 5 years of support from 2018-2023 the devs of Deep Rock Galactic announced they had 2 new games in the works and the community had a total meltdown. Man children freaking out about their game being "Abandoned by the devs" when it had constant updates for 5 straight years. The devs themselves made posts about how insane the community reacted and how dumb it all was.
Not to mention every company now wants a destiny or fifa ultimate team. Why waste resource making new things when you can reskin stuff and re sell at full price. (Over a 1000 hours in d2 btw and I hate it)
