I love how the A ranking is ALWAYS a build-up. As if the game itself is telling you "C'MON BRO! YOU'RE SO CLOSE TO AN S RANKING! KEEP GOING MAN!" encouraging you to get to that DAMN S ranking.

@@violet_lilac the american version was made harder because dumbasses were saying that dmc2 was too easy, so normal in America is hard in every other region, but they changed it for the hd collection

I always felt like it was subtitles for that should’ve been: “my son” means nothing to me. Like Vergil didn’t understand what Dante was talking about and mocked him.
@@The_ITLabrador yeah, I think it is more like that with the Japanese subtitles. It's a "lost in the translation" kind of thing.
It probably should've been translated as a more emotional "I have no son!" Would've made the delayed realization a bit stronger in English.
When you play with the others characters: " Dang, I want to reach S to make the lyrics kicks in"
When you play with Vergil: "Dang, I want to stay on B to hear the other verse on the song". Seriously, Vergil moveset is so OP that you are always on S.

Even then you usually only get to listen to the S-rank version for like 15 seconds before the battle ends.

With vergil , A rank is easy
In general, I played as Virgil, and basically all the characters. Because of this, I was able to trace a pattern to the music in the battles. First, indeed, the version up to rank D plays. Moreover, this goes on endlessly until the character deals at least one blow. Next, the part from D to B is played. And it doesn’t matter what the current rank is, B, C or D. Part D to B will play at any rank. But rank A, according to my observations, only falls on the part from D to B. That is, the same rank from D to B plays, but at the same time rank A is in the background. And from S to SSS... Also, nothing depends on exactly how much S right now on the screen. Plays from "I am the storm..." beginning to "Bury the light..."s play in any case without interruption
@@crazykitten228 Also, to add on to the A Rank section, it's just a loop of the D-B section but with an extra drum beat. And depending on how high up you are at A Rank, the quieter the vocals will be and the louder the drum barrage is.

I feel I have to say this, but I treasure your dynamic character theme mixes. All of them! This one especially too. The transitions, the unique variations you don't normally get with their tracks, and especially the god damned hype-building at A rank that just DEMANDS you get savage! Yes, pun intended.
Really though, thank you for these. Your dynamic, in-game mixes of these tracks add a whole new bit of flavour to DMC 5's OST. Keep being awesome.

You have two options
1: you can take the red pill, you get 8 weapons and a million moves plus an op/awesome supermode, but you’re going to get your ass kicked often if you don’t have 300+ hours in the game
2: you take the blue pill, you have 4 weapons and your super mode isn’t quite as cool anymore but you’re incredibly *power* - full and will be good at the game even if you’re normally trash, plus you’re incredibly mobile and you’re moves are all huge
