The new Kings of Leon album has some nice riffs and I'd love to see lessons for them.

I find it difficult to strum like that. What kind of plecrum should I use?

Thanks for this! Feeling a bit rushed and behind with no beat, count or any sort of markers. Regardless, I learned!

NOt bad. for the basic rhythm part, I dont think you have the transition between the E and the A right. From what I am hearing, you play 3 times with the hammer on the 4th fret of the E, then on the fourth, the hammer on is on the 4th fret of both the A and the D string together then pull off to the single note on the 2nd fret A string, then begin the second part of the riff by dropping your finger down to the second fret D string - then again, hammer on the 4th fret A string, play the riff 3 times, and on the 4th time the hammer goes onto the 4th fret of the D string and then shift back down to the first riff again and repeat.
Also, I dont think it is the same right through the song - there are some subtle changes - more of a single chug with no hammer on during the quieter parts, and a "no hammer" chugging for the instrumental bits before the final vocals?
Just my view, and doesnt detract overall from your lesson - I like the lead bits you have put in a lot!
    All the best.
