Can't unsee that: The car rotates around its center. Not because the front wheel turns. So it makes it look like it is always sliding, even when it is not. But, awesome ride! Smooth, quick. This game still looks awesome!
Fantastic driving, fluid all the way. Not an easy car to drive either or at least for me. Love the Spanish stages though, always great fun. Nice one mate
I don't possess the patience or even desire to become half as skilled as you are, but I wish I could experience how it feels to thread a car through corners so effortlessly!
I forgot that there‘s always a guy telling you where to go, so obviously that‘s easy /s. Mad respect, that’s the smoothest i‘ve seen someone driving a car that‘s always after you.
I haven't found any proof on the matter, but I speculate it is because of the position the engine is mounted. In some configurations, the Stratos has a transverse engine, meaning the crankshaft is perpendicular to the direction of travel rolling forward. This means that the cylinders are not left and right, but front and back, and the exhaust manifolds are mounted accordingly. If some pipe parts are then reused on both exhaust piping runs, that's where some difference in length could come from. Long story short, the engine is mounted "sideways", and for a rally car, accounting for the different exhaust lengths might just not be worth the resources.
without the pacenotes and playing yourself its really noticable how boring DR 2.0s track design is. call it "realistic" if you want, but its not fun. its just 14 or so Kilometers of left-right-left-right-left-right. no change of surface, no interesting landmarks. nothing. i was so disappointed after the brilliant Dirt Rally 1. now i remember why. anyways good driving.
@@onivlasbrony7432 I only said that because I can't see the point of a driving game where a adult uses the outside view, you don't drive a car sitting on the roof like Mr Bean, plus I didn't realise it was a replay
Dude, like he needs to see the corners. To be the first on any stage means you play hundreds of games on the same stage. I bet he knows the track without even seeing it. I know because on Poland I'm currently at top30 and played around 50+ hours on that stage. Had to turn off co-pilot because it started to get annoying. Trust me he can do this in any view
You cant really appreciate this unless you know how inherintly unstable the Stratos is.
It has an unlimited amount of potential to fly into a ditch on its own 😂 I know it's a famous car but the Stratos' handling is cursed as all hell.
Some say cursed, others say lively 😂
and how stupid the tarmac physics in DR 2.0 are. Way slippier than they should be
Have you ever played NFS Pro Street?
Heck even on other Rally games, the Stratos is just a tricky beast to tame.
I've got chills dude car control is insane

Since that guy's video on WRC, I can't unsee it either. Dirt Rally just got lesser in my eyes...
what? can you explain in more detail pls?
Pretty sure this was debunked and it's a feeling you get due to the way the camera follows in chase.
No, it doesn't have a center pivot..
It's called weight transfer. Mastering weight transfer will make you a better driver.
Not even silk is as smooth as that cornering! Damn good show!! 🙌
on 1st person cam u can see the hard work on wheel.
it requires a 101% knowledge of the track

Mastered all the corners..wow..and ripping it with the Lancia .. Wow!!!
This is guy that knows that car through and through
This is so impressive, tried same car on same track, crashed before green light came on. Such a hard to drive car.
you make it look way easier that what it actually is
G freaking G!
Incredible gutter run!
Way to Use that slip angle boi!!!
on stratos is wild
I can't even drive Stratos on the straight line 😂😂
I've always wodner why the left pipe is longer than the right.
WOW! I've never noticed that.

@@percy404 ha! Fair enough.
Spectacular driving, on a stage I love, but with a car I simply do not click with.
I am attacking this stage with the Porsche 911 SC RS.
It is a fantastic stage. I think I have a run here with the Porsche 911 SC RS, very nice combo. Goodluck!
Beautiful. Such a hard car to drive
Such an perfection controlling the slip angle

if you play an eurobeat in the background you could go even faster

you made driving this car look easy :D

i think ofc traction control is off LOL
congratulations, good job 👍

This guy could probably run the track blind
Mesmerizing.
That is why I hate tarmac in this game, it is too god damn slidey.
You need to spend time learning how it feels and then it's fun
crashed at the very end
its impressive but it kinda defeats the purpose of rally when you know the whole stage
You do all your own tuning or follow one of the guides then tweak from there?
99% of the time i do my own tuning but i will use friends gear ratios sometimes.
Can the Stratos have Snap-Oversteer?
Because it's an MR layout
@@LTKBrns Yes. You just have to be very smooth with steering and acceleration inputs to avoid it.
