100% true. Taj Mahal, Buddy Guy and a few others are all we have left.

That rhythm section though! And love the voodoo child riff he throws in near the end.

Such a cool dude and as another has commented, a living legend. Was lucky enough to see him play live in Tokyo during the 90s at the city's Blue Note. It's a small club and after the show he came over to the bar where I was, ordered a drink and I exchanged a few words with him as he was on his own.

I like it,....but I love the studio cut the best ....I know its not taj playing lead on it in the studio cut ....it's too good and very bluesly....but he's good anyway.

+walter condi You mean the one with Jessie Ed Davis......yeah, taj wrote the song and the lead, had trouble finding someone to play it but Jessie could, Jessie was bad ass. Taj is still Bad to the Bone all day everyday.

@@gianacaruso6124 Jessie Ed Davis was a great guitarist and his solo in the studio version is so good. John Lennon was a big fan of Jessie's guitar work. Also, listen to the bass in the studio version - like a heart beat. Such an amazing song.

I thought the studio version was a bit wooden and stiff and lacking the soul of this live performance. I'm playing this over and over... can't get enough of it, it's that good.
