- This was a mid-range flight. The battery had a lot more juice, but the sag was not giving me the confidence to push it.

I’m looking at getting this drone now as my first FPV drone. What’s the best battery you use for long range? I would love to to know the gear you use for your setup.
For Long range, Li-ion batteries are the best. However, there are some caveats that you should know about. Eg) They support lesser current draw when compared to Li-Pos and therefore you have to be careful with the throttle (amp draw)
@@KenjiFPV in what sense do I have to be careful with the accelerator? what are the risks?
@@Luca-pg5mj if you throttle too much, the amp drain will be high. LiON batteries can’t deliver so much amps and the voltage will sag a lot and your quad may switch off

hi i noticed your gps sat is very solid. I also have a custome 4" long range but I experienced gps interference when naked gp6 recording is on. Did you add any shielding in the naked gopro?tnx and I'm expired with your work

Its a 4s Lion, 3000mah. You can use ones made from Sony VTC6 :D

It was 10 km total journey not 10 km in one direction :D
what vtx did you use and did you use an antenna tracker
I used a Tbs unify pro hv. No antenna tracker, just a tbs fusion on my fatshark HDO

I was getting gps loss but I designed a custom naked gopro mount with gps on top. Good lock after that. No osd loss

Aah yes, your battery is exceeding expectations...I used only about 1500/3000mah. If I can be a bit more gentle with the throttle, and plan the journey better, I should be able to fly longer!
