I got married, my father bought me my first car and when I was admitted in hospital my father was the first one to visit me after I had my thyroid operation . I came to learn later I was his only adopted child. May heaven be his rest.
I remember Simon before and after his son. It’s amazing what a child can do to a parent. It’s instant love. I know everyone has seen him changed through the years, but he has become more kind with contestants and even tears up. He adores that little boy. 💙

I lost my dad when I was 12 yrs old. Circumstances were I usually only saw him on a weekend. I grew up in a family where there were no hugs, kisses and never heard the 3 words that everyone loves to hear, I love you. Today I have my own kids and grandkids and when we get together we hug each other and big arm hugs. It's the most wonderful feeling in the world. I'm retired now and the kids are schooling working and some of them live out of town. Sometimes out of the blue when I'm thinking about them I just get my phone and text each one to say just old man checking in .I love you. I come away from that phone with the biggest smile on my face.💖💖💖
